This is the second and final part of my Kind Beauty Collective samples review. Part one is here.
The third sample, was an eyeshadow from Modern Minerals in Lola. It is a loose mineral eyeshadow. They are a cruelty-free and vegan company. From the Kind Beauty Collective website, their products contain:
-
No Synthetic Parabens: (Methyl, Propyl, Ethyl, Butyl): Often used to extend the shelf life in cosmetics.
-
No Phthalates, DBP, BBP, and DEHP are now banned in Europe.
-
No Carmine: also known as “crimson lake or cochinea” a female beetle which is crushed and used as a colorant.
-
No micronized minerals or nanoparticles.
-
We try not to over package our products. You will not find our cosmetics in extra exterior boxes. We don’t believe in wasting extra paper to create a box that will ultimately get discarded. Even though paper can be recycled, we wanted to avoid the extra step and just offer the clean crisp containers with a simple seal for protection.
Lola is described as being “a warm apricot + rose pink with a subtle bronze shimmer” – I think that this is an accurate description.
It is gorgeous, applies easily, and is long wearing. This is definitely being added to my wish list, along with a few of their other shades (of which I believe there are 40 currently).
Modern Minerals eyeshadows can be purchased from the Kind Beauty Collective for $12.50 USD, as well as directly from Modern Minerals.
The fourth sample was an eau de parfum sample from Pour le Monde, in Envision.Pour le Monde is triple-certified cruelty-free by PETA, Leaping Bunny and Vegan Action. There perfumes are vegan and 100% organic and available in three different scents (Envision, Empower, and Together).
Envision by Pour le Monde is Smooth and seductive. Daring and exotic. Irresistibly sensual and long lasting. For when you want to make a statement!
Top notes: A citrus accord of Italian Bergamot, Brazilian orange, Persian lime, Florida grapefruit and pink peppercorn for that little kick!
Middle: Lavender from the fields of South France, Palma rosa and Egyptian geranium rose deliver a nuance of femininity
Base: The warmth and sexiness of Indonesian patchouli and creamy sandalwood blend with the sweetness of Madagascar vanilla to create a scent with serious cuddle factor!
This is an interesting scent, I didn’t think that I was going to like it at first sniff from the sample vial. But after reading the scent notes, I decided to give it a try. On me, I can smell the citrus and peppercorn top notes, and the geranium rose middle note, and definitely the patchouli and sandalwood base notes. I don’t really smell the lavender middle note, or the vanilla base note at all. Since I don’t know what palma rosa smells like, I have no idea if I can smell it or not. After the dry down, the citrus notes fade out on my skin, but the peppercorn, and sandalwood really stand out. It is different that what I would normally wear, but there is something about it that I really like. On someone else’s skin, it might smell completely different, but I like this one.
You can find Pour le Monde Eau de Parfum at the Kind Beauty Collective for $82 USD for 1.7 fluid oz (50ml), as well as directly from Pour le Monde.
Disclosure: These were free samples with purchase.
I’m loving that eyeshadow! I don’t typically go for loose powder (as I’m a clutz and a half) but I feel like I could attempt it for this one!

If I can do it without making a mess, anyone can! Using a primer helps a lot. 🙂
