ColourPop Lippie Stix Reviews

I placed my very first ColourPop order before the start of NO BUY JUNE and NO BUY JULY. I thought that I would share them with you today, since I’ve had plenty of time to test them out.

Now if you haven’t heard about ColourPop, here’s a little info taken from their website:

ColourPop was born, raised and made with love in the City of Angels (aka Los Angeles) so we can react quickly to the latest and greatest trends and get them in your fabulous hands stat.

We take the phrase “if you can dream it, you can do it” to a whole new level and specialize in making killer makeup in every shade imaginable at prices everyone can afford. We think that whole barrier between fancy and affordable is absolute nonsense. That’s why all of our products have luxury formulas at prices that won’t break the bank.

Have an idea for a great shade? Shoot us an email. We love feedback from our customers. We find inspiration everywhere from the catwalk to YouTube and can turn what’s trending now into a shade tomorrow.

PS. We are 100% fur baby friendly, bunny approved, and only test our products on humans – the ones in our HQ to be exact.

The awesome thing about ColourPop Lippie Stix is the large range of colours for only $5 US each! They are available in a range of different finishes: crème, sheer, satin, glossy, hyper-glossy, matte and pearlized. They also have a clear lip primer as well. Notice how they have the name and a colour indicator on the end – I love this because it makes it so easy to grab the one I want without having to remember the colour names.

I ordered six lippie stix, including the primer, in three of the different finishes pearlized, hyper glossy and matte. From left to right: grind (matte), lady (matte), yasmin (matte), go fish (hyper-glossy), wet (pearlized) and primer.

I really like the shape of the tip of the lippie stix, it makes it really easy to achieve a precise lip shape if you don’t have a lip liner pencil.

Primer – Our Lippie Primer enhances the wear of any lip product and keeps your lips looking and feeling healthy! Our primer contains itty bitty spherical beads that fill in fine lines making lips instantly smooth and plump! It also contains mango, avocado and shea butter for moisture and Vitamin E, which soothes your lips. My thoughts – It really does smooth out your lips. I don’t find that my lips get as dry when I pair this with a matte lipstick.

Wet – A cool toned taupe gunmetal in a pearlized finish. Get your shine on. My thoughts – I really like this one either by itself, or as a topper for another lipstick. It is more gunmetal than taupe on me.

Go fish Improve your game with this vibrant coral red in a hyper glossy finish. My thoughts – I FREAKING LOVE THIS ONE! It is so bright and glossy! ❤ ❤ ❤

Lady – Act like a lady, look like a boss in this cool toned dirty burgundy in a Matte Finish. My thoughts – This one leans more brown than burgundy one me, but I still like it. I think that I will wear this one more in the colder months.

Yasmin – Electric coral in a Matte finish. My thoughts – Another winner. Very bright, very matte. ❤

Grind – Vivid blue violet in a matte finish. My thoughts – I LOVE PURPLE. This one is another winner, very bright and matte. ❤

Overall, I am super happy with all of the Lippie Stix, but the my absolute favourite is Go Fish. All are long wearing, and the colour payoff is fantastic. They have a faint scent that reminds me of those little tictac mints.

Disclosure: I bought this!

Thanks for reading! Have a beautiful day! ❤ ❤ ❤

For price, colour range, wearability and longevity, you can’t go wrong with the ColourPop Lippie Stix.

  2. I feel like these would be a really good way to try out wild colours and finishes without shelling out too much moolah. I really like Go Fish and Yasmin even though they’re both outside of my comfort zone. I just canNOT imagine the shade Wet on the lips! I googled and this is what it apparently looks like:

It’s actually not as scary as I had imagined it!
