I love using dry shampoo to refresh my hair if I don’t feel like washing it that day. There are loads of dry shampoos on the market and my biggest problem with most of them it that although they do absorb grease and freshen up my hair, they always make it feel so rough and tangled. My other main problem is that I really don’t like the heavy perfumey scents that most of them have.
After reading several reviews of the Zabana Essentials Shimmery Dry Glow Shampoo, I was tempted to try it, but found out that it has a coconut based scent so a definite no go for me, as coconut is one of my most hated scents. Luckily, the dry shampoo is also available in two other scents: lavender citrus mint and sage blood orange.

I decided to go purchase the lavender citrus mint scent option. It really does work well to absorb oil, add volume and refreshes your hair. And the scent is amazing – I love the lavender mint combination, I don’t really smell the citrus though. And unlike most of the other dry shampoos that I’ve tried, it doesn’t make my hair feel tangled and gross. Instead, it makes my hair feel soft to the touch – likely due to the bamboo extract. My only complaint about the Zabana Essentials Dry Shampoo is the applicator bottle. For me, it seems like the dry shampoo doesn’t come out evenly, and sometimes I will get nothing coming out, followed by a puff of a load of dry shampoo.
Verdict – Despite not loving the application, I would buy this again in a second because of how smooth and soft it makes my hair feel, and how good it smells.

This seems interesting! I love dry shampoo but haven’t tried this brand or this kind of applicator. I wonder if it would be worth it to put into a sifter-container? Hmm!

In terms of the effectiveness, scent and softening I love it. But the squeezy nozzle applicator is a pain to use. The bottle looks so tiny compared to the aerosol cans, but I’ve been using it for several weeks now and have barely made a dent in it!
It smells so good, SO GOOD! 🙂

Okay I NEED this in my life!! Other than Tressemme I have yet to find a dry shampoo that works AND that I like. Super happy you blogged this!! The application tip does seem just stupid but as you said, the formula works.. (And of course I plan to beeline straight for the super smelly coconut one LOL!!) ❤

I tried one dry shampoo before I started blogging that reeked of bad perfume and made my hair feel like straw – I wish I could remember the name so I could write about how terrible it was – I’d rather have greasy hair than use that one again, haha!

Oh I believe lol!!! I bought a supposedly amazing Asian “scalp refresher” & “oil absorber” and whoo!!!! Talk about crap! And to think I waited a month or more with excitement! Actually, in my Luxe Box post where I start yapping about CAKE, I had bought their dry shampoo for $20 awhile back. Was just a tiny bottle of cornstarch and didn’t do a thing except make me look older with gross hair. Holy did I pop off about that on my blog! ;D
