ColourPop Mini Haul Nov 2015 – Super Shock Cheeks

Continuing on with swatching of my recent mini-haul from ColourPop (Lippie Stix review here) , today I’m showing you the Super Shock Cheek products that I purchased. It is next to impossible to get an accurate colour representation of these two highlighters in the packaging, despite taking the photos from different angles.

The Super Shock Cheek products have that same weird bouncy texture as their shadows. Here’s the application instructions:

Fingertips will provide the highest amount of coverage. Brush suggestions: Use a flat synthetic cheek/ foundation brush or a duo fiber brush; flat synthetic brush will give more coverage and the duo fiber brush will give a more sheer, air brushed effect. WHEN FINISHED: Close that sucker up tight! Don’t leave the jar opened for long periods of time; you may lose some of the magic that makes the Super Shock Cheek Pearlized so amazzzing. Colour builds from natural to a more intense look. … Build to your heart’s desire!

Now onto the swatches. When I first swiped my fingers over both Sticky Sweet and Stole the Show, I thought to myself, “oh my, this is definitely outside my comfort zone!”

First up is Sticky Sweet: Ooey gooey, sticky sweet, sticks to your cheeks and not your feet (haha we tried) – a deep violet with pink duo chrome finish. Second up is Stole the Show: Light cool-toned gold with luminous flashes of pink, silver and gold. They’ll want an encore when you put this on.

In the two photos below, both Sticky Sweet and Stole the Show are heavily swatched on my arm and the photos taken from different angles to try to show the depth of the pigmentation, and to try to capture the sheen. Aren’t they GORGEOUS?

The next two photos are the same swatches, but blended out.

I think that both Sticky Sweet and Stole the Show would work beautifully on a wide variety of skin tones. Applied with a light hand, and blended out, both are gorgeous and very wearable, even if you are pale like me.

Have you tried either of these Super Shock Cheek highlighters from Colour Pop?

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!!! ❤ ❤ ❤

Disclosure: I purchased these things.

  1. I can’t wait to place an order with ColourPop! I’m definitely getting a blush and a highlighter – they’ve got such gorgeous shades! I really like Sticky Sweet – what an interesting colour, could even be an eye shadow.

  2. They both look lovely (blended out that is, I am also pale and not that brave). All of those colourpop products are looking lovely so far. I just wish we could get them here, so hopefully they will extend soon! xx
