Nyx HD Concealer in Porcelain

Just a short little review today of the Nyx HD Photogenic Concealer.

Yes, I bought another concealer to try out.

Nyx HD1

I picked this one because I had heard that it was a dupe for the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (which I have yet to try). Here’s what is says on the Nyx website:

This lightweight cover-up obscures imperfections discoloration and under eye circles without ever looking cakey or obvious. Little wonder the HD Photogenic Concealer Wand is one of our best-sellers. The concentrated emollient-rich formula goes on like a dream and creates medium to heavy coverage. Use the lavender for sallow skin the green to reduce the appearance of redness and the yellow for under-eye darkness.

Nyx HD2

I decided to try the concealer in Porcelain, the lightest shade that they make, as I figured that if it was too light, that I could use it as a highlighter. The doe foot wand makes application super smooth to apply, and you can build the coverage. I’ve been able to use it as an undereye concealer, as well as to minimize any discolouration without having it cake up on my skin. I particularly like this concealer now that my skin is a little drier from the cooler weather. So far, I haven’t had any issues with creasing in the past three weeks (or so) that I’ve been using it.

Nyx HD3

It is available in seven different skin tones (porcelain, fair, light, beige, medium, tan and nutmeg), three different colour correcting shades (lavender, green, and yellow), and one highlighting shade (glow). The skin tone selection should be broader, as the darker skin tone selection is sadly lacking.

Here are some of the other concealers that I’ve reviewed:

Nyx Above & Beyond Full Coverage Concealer (here)

e.l.f. HD Uplifting Concealer (here)

Nyx Dark Circle Concealer (here)

Au Naturale Creme Concealer (here)

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!!! ❤ ❤ ❤

Disclosure: I purchased this!

  1. I love this concealer. I use Fair to highlight the bridge of my nose & center of my forehead and Glow under my eyes. Great coverage, doesn’t crease on me.

      1. Mmm, honestly, I’ve been forced to completely forgo concealer since I don’t really own a creaseless one. The Wet n Wild Coverall Cream foundation works like a charm in a pinch, though – it’s nice, thick, creamy, and opaque so a little dab works just as well as a concealer, and it doesn’t crease on me. I /can/ get the NYX concealer to work, but it requires quite a bit of effort. You have to pat it in quickly with a beauty blender (or a similar sponge), dampen it slightly, then pat translucent powder over the concealer. That keeps it pretty crease-free for 5 or so hours!

  2. Nars is my favorite. This sounds pretty good too, so I should see if I can get it over here. Always looking for a good budget Nars dupe, but so far I haven’t had any luck. xx
