Hello everyone! Just a short little review for you today on the Perfect Brow Pencil from Anastasia Beverly Hills.
As you know my holy grail brow pencil is made by Crispy Brows (original review here), but due to the currently horrible exchange rate, I thought that I might try one from Anastasia Beverly Hills since everyone seems to rave about their products. (Also I had the VIB $20 off deal so it lowered the price for me!)
Here’s what it says on the ABH website:
With its larger nib and softer consistency, this pencil is ideal for creating straight, long strokes. The vitamin E-infused formula glides on without skipping and dries to a powder finish.
The Perfect Brow Pencil is available in eight different shades on the Sephora Canada website – taupe (cool taupe), blonde (warm gold), caramel (reddish blonde), soft brown (warm golden brown), medium brown (taupe based brown), auburn (medium warm brown), dark brown (dark warm brown) and granite (cool dark brown).
I decided to go with dark brown since my brows are naturally quite dark and taupe based shades cast too grey on me.
Consistency-wise, it is a softer pencil than that of the one from Crispy Brows, and is a little darker, but the shade works really well for me, and doesn’t seem to fade or rub off. I find that the Crispy Brows pencil seems to better control my brows than that of the ABH Perfect Brow Pencil. But overall, it is a good substitute for my HG brow pencil (at least until the exchange rate improves).
What do you use for your brows?
Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!!! ❤ ❤ ❤
Disclosure: I purchased this!
seems like a decent substitute for now lol I’ve always heard their products are great, the consistency sounds a little iffy for me you probably get better control with the other pencil! Still long lasting, no rub sounds great for me , awesome review love 🙂

The ABH brow pencil was the first brow pencil I’ve ever bought and loved it! I now alternate MUFE aqua brow and NYX brow gels but I think I want to switch it up again and go back to ABH 🙂

I’m horrible at doing my brows with gels / pomades / waxes – I can’t get a natural effect, it looks like I’ve sharpie markered my brows on, haha!

Hahah I was the same at first but just start off with a bit first then build-up from there! I do think pencils are way faster to put on and still more natural looking though 🙂

Good review. I was interested in buying this, but I’m going to experiment with other products and see what works best for me.

I hope so too. Even though I totally suck at doing my brows and hardly get a chance to practice.

The more you practise, the easier it will get. Even on days when I’m not wearing any make-up, I will often pencil in my brows just to practise. 🙂

If only I could find the time to do it. Lol. My son is a full-time hands on munchkin. 🙂 lol.

I don’t like brow pencils that are too soft – I find they tend to deposit too much product onto my brows and they look too drawn in. I’ve been a fan of Shu Uemura’s H9 pencil for years. It’s the perfect consistency and a perfect colour match for me (Seal Brown) – looks super natural and one pencil lasts me at least 12 months with DAILY use!

The only thing I’ve ever tried from Shu Uemura is their eyelash curlers! I’ll have to check it out.

You are lucky, I’m a brunette, but my eyebrows don’t show up in most photos unless I pencil them in!

Great review! I’ve always wanted to try an ABH brow product. Though I just use the Milani Brow Fix Kit which is just powder. 🙂 xo

You should try! I am hopeless with powders / waxes / gels – I always end up looking like I sharpie markered my brows on. But a pencil gives me the control that I need. 🙂
