My hands have gotten so dry this past month with the colder winter weather. Since I had temporarily misplaced my tube of hand cream from the Body Shop but had a free sample tube of Weleda Skin Food (that I received with my last order from well.ca). I decided to try it out.
Here’s what it says on the website:

My experience: This thick, pale yellow cream has a definite herbal scent which I really like, but if you don’t enjoy herbal scents, then this one is definitely not for you. It is super moisturizing and my poor dry hands are nearly recovered after just a few days use! I don’t think that I would want to use this cream as a full body moisturizer, it is just too insanely thick and rich, but for dry hands, feet and elbows, this stuff is incredible. For a sample tube, it is quite generous in size at 1oz /$12.50 (USD) – the full size tube is 2.5oz / $19 (USD).

I’ve never tried Weleda products but I’m always curious. I do worry that their items might be too greasy for my liking – this could be a good night time hand cream when I don’t care about having grease ball hands!
Well.ca is awesome – they sell everything on there! I bought a few bits from there recently too! 🙂

I dig Skin Food although the scent is a little bit of an acquired taste I think. I definitely didn’t love it at first but now I really enjoy it.
Do you use this during the day? I generally only use it at night because it is a little on the greasy side.

The scent is weird, but I like herbal scents.
My hands were so dry, that I was using it in the day and at night. But now my hands are ok, so I’m just using it at night.

Mine are starting to get pretty dry too so maybe I’ll bust it during the day and see how that goes 🙂

I’ve been putting it on the backs on my hands only in the day time, to keep my fingers from getting greasy.

I love this stuff, although I can’t imagine using it all over my hands and feet. The richness and stickiness would drive me nuts that’s why I only use it on small dry patches 🙂

On my package they said it can be used as a body cream – I can’t imagine covering my entire body with the stuff, haha!
