ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Dopey

Hello, hello!

I gave a little sneak peek on my Instagram of my recent ColourPop mini haul in which I purchased five liquid lipsticks – four Ultra Satin and one Ultra Matte, out of which two will be set aside (without being swatched) for my upcoming giveaway that I’m planning, and three are for me!

First off, my package took forever to arrive (NOT ColourPop’s fault) as it got stuck in customs / postal system on the long weekend leading up to the Canada Post union negotiations and possible strike / mail stoppage. Secondly, because it was packaged in a padded envelope, the boxes got a little squished when the package was jammed into my mailbox (again, NOT ColourPop’s fault).

Onto the review! I’ve been so busy, that I haven’t had the time to photograph and swatch all three Ultra Satin liquid lipsticks yet. I’ve managed to test out only one so far in the shade Dopey, a dusty mauve shade.

This is my first testing of the Ultra Satin liquid lipsticks. It dries to a not quite matte, not quite satin finish that is long wearing and very comfortable on the lips. The first time that I wore it, I applied it at 9am, and it was still visible, although slightly starting to fade by 5pm, lasting through lunch. I made sure to not top it up and not apply lip balm to test longevity.

And the colour, oh the colour! I love the pinky mauve shade! It is slightly pinker toned than my well loved Wrath from Black Moon Cosmetics (reviewed here).

Have you tried any of the Ultra Satin liquid lipsticks from ColourPop?

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤

Disclosure: I purchased this!

  1. Hi there. I have noticed you always being so kind as to notice a lot of my posts over the months and just want to say thank you! I was wondering, since I can see you’re a lot my successful with you’re blog than I currently am, if I could do some kind of feature article or something for your blog to be able to help me out with a few more followers, but also give you a post which perhaps is like a ‘special’ for you! Something you perhaps are interested in but know not much about? I live in the UK and not too sure, but think I noticed you live in Canada? I wonder if there’s anything you would like to know about the UK that might be different e.g fashion of London for example, or a recipe of a kind of food we like to eat that you don’t, or our afternoon tea’s? Something that may differ and your own followers may be interested in! I’d even be happy and would love if you would like to do something Canadian for my blog as I would love to learn about something different too! I admire all your hard work and just would love to even get a little bit close to the kind of follower base you have and would be so grateful if you could help me out!
    Thank you so much.

    1. Hello! You are most welcome, I find that the best way to grow your blog is to follow, like and comment on other people’s blogs. And to always reply when someone comments on my blog. How long have you been blogging? My blog is almost 1.5 years old. 😘

      1. Thank you very much. And okay thank you, I will try that! I’ve been blogging for about 2 years but not always so consistently due to college. My blogs over 2 years old but only really started progressing a year and a half ago X

      1. Well, the matte glosses are even more drying so not sure you’d like them. I like them because they do not budge on the lips and I love the super matte look.
Now all I want to do now is play is with all my colourpop lippies!
Can’t wait to see what other colours you got!!
