Hello, hello!
Today I’m reviewing the 7th of 12 products for my Project Pan 12 collab with these lovely fellow bloggers: Ingrid from CurlySpringBlossom, and Stashy from Stash Matters, and Chanelle from ChanelleHayleyyy!
Basically, the Project Pan 12 goal is to use up (or at least make a good attempt to use up) twelve products over the course of twelve weeks, and to review one of the products each week. After the product review, I’ll give a very short comment on the remaining eleven products just to account for whether or not I’ve been successful in using each of the products.
Onto the review! Urban Decay Mini Palette in Urban Vices
I originally reviewed this mini palette from Urban Decay after Sephora’s V.I.B. sale last year. It comes with an eyeliner that I’ve been using daily since getting this palette, so it isn’t part of the PP12.
As you can see, there are four shimmery shades – Dope (pale peach), Hoodoo (pale purple), Derailed (taupe grey metallic) and Smokeout (brown black). Because there aren’t any matte shades in this palette, I find that I have to use it with other shadows in my collection.
My favourite shades are Derailed, and Dope. I’ve been using this palette at least two or three times a week for seven weeks now, and there is barely a dent in it, mainly in my faves!
Update on the remaining 11 products:
1. Urban Decay Naked Skin Ultra Definition Pressed Finishing Powder – Used daily, and still not finished! Reviewed week 1 (here)
2. Essence Cosmetics Bloom Me Up Shimmer Powder in 01 Rose it Up – still using daily! Reviewed week 2 (here)
3. Organic Surge Perfecting Facial Polish – finished week 5! Reviewed week 3 (here)
4. Brazen Cosmetics Organic Mineral Foundation in Crazed (0N) – I finshed this week 5, and reviewed week 4 (here).
5. Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Mont Blanc – used daily, reviewed week 5 (here).
6. Nyx Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in Gleam – still using daily, reviewed week 6 (here).
7. Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Mini Palette* – used 2x
8. Ren Purity No. 1 Cleansing Balm – used 1x
9. Sukin Rosehip Day Cream – used 1x, but my mom fell in love with this cream on our trip, so she has it now. I’m going to substitute another skincare product to pan in its place.
10. Haus of Gloi Hair Oil in Cozy Sweater – used 1x.
11. Atelier Cologne in Rose Anonyme – did not use this week.
Don’t forget to check out my fellow collaborators:

Everything that I’ve tried so far, has worked well for my skin. Haven’t tried the splash masks yet though. I’m not trying any new skincare for at least two weeks or so. Getting my second photorejuvenation session done on Friday, so I’m only using my most gentle products. (the word rejuvenation now makes me giggle thanks to your podcast) ❤

That Hoodoo shade looks incredible 😍 but it also doesn’t seem that pigmented? Which is slightly disappointing if it isn’t! Urban Decay usually do so well with their eye shadows xx

I think that it is fairly pigmented, they do swatch better over primer – these swatches are just quick ones on bare skin.

I have this! My favourite is Derailed. I haven’t worn it since January. 😳 I don’t find UD eye shadows to last that well on me though – they fade.
I can’t believe your UD powder STILL isn’t finished!
And hey, your mom helping you with Project Pan is CHEATING! 😛

She’s not helping, she just helped herself to my cream and loved it so much that I let her have it. Because of this, I’m adding another product to replace this one in the pan to be fair!

The UD powder is just lasting forever – there is a small ring left that just won’t quit! Haha!

I guess that’s the problem with Urban Decay, you’ll never hit pan in project pan. I’ve only hit pan one one shadow from their NYC book of shadows (2010 release), which I use frequently!

I’ve rarely panned a shadow in my life! But at least I’m not neglecting this palette!

I have a love /hate relationship with UD eyeshadows … These 4 colors are beautiful though !!! How is it with the photorejuvenation???

So far I’ve only had one session, my next one is on Friday. I plan on blogging about it, probably after the next session. So far I can see a slight reduction in redness / pinkness.

This palette is so cute! I love these four shades and would totally wear them all which is the sign of a great palette! What is the weight of the palette in total?

The shadows are 0.8 g each (0.02 oz each). The single shadows are 1.5 g (0.05 oz).

I can’t believe how little of a dent I’ve made in it!

Looks like a fun palette but as you mentioned, I too think it would work so much better with at least one matte shade. Would you say you prefer matte or shimmer UD eyeshadows? I don’t have much experience with urban decay to be honest, but from what I have used, I find I like both shimmer & mattes equally.

I haven’t actually tried very many matte shades from UD yet – just the ones in the Naked3 and Pulp Fiction palettes. These days I’m more into mattes, but still love my shimmers!
