Today I’m reviewing the Charcoal with Citrus Oil Purifying Deep Conditioner from Hask.
Here’s what it says on the website:
This deep conditioner is a super-moisturizing, clarifying treatment that will nourish and soften all hair types, (including color treated hair). Charcoal, derived from coconut shells, combined with citrus oil, absorbs impurities and helps restore hair to its natural radiance. We promise, the charcoal washes out!
I did not know what to expect with a charcoal and citrus blend – something like burnt lemons I guess. But this deep conditioner smells really AMAZING.
This one doesn’t look the most appealing as it is a pale gray with black specks.
I applied the conditioner and left it on for 20 minutes before rinsing it out. I applied my Briogeo Curl Charisma and styled my hair as usual, letting my hair air dry.
The result?
My hair felt soft and did not feel weighed down or waxy. I like this one, but I think that I prefer the Argan Oil one the best for deep conditioning (reviewed here), even though the Charcoal one has the best scent!

This is probably my favorite of all the HASK that I’ve tried. The smell is oh so good. And the shampoo and conditioner makes my scalp feeling clean and fresh after shower.

If I need some deep cleansing shampoo then this is my go to. I had to use a palm full if the conditioner though so I will have a soft and smooth hair during and after lather. They are not the best smoothing products when you use just enough amount. But it lasted me that long since I don’t use it regularly.

This sounds interesting, the texture looks bizarre, almost gel like – and those seeds? Looks like Vanilla or whipped up fruit seeds! I’ll have to hunt this down to try!

The “seeds” are actually little bits of charcoal. It looks so weird, haha!

Je découvre, je découvre des marques que je ne connais pas. Chouette -:) Je crois bien pour avoir lu des articles dessus que Secret Mask propose la même chose, mais jamais essayé cette marque . Si celui-ci sent bon en plus, c’est toppppppp

Ill have to look for these little packets at Ulta. 😊 I’m with you on argan oil, I personally favor it over anything else for hair care.

It depends on how much you use and how long your hair is. I. An get 2 to 4 uses from each pack. My hair is about bra strap length , thick and wavy.

I can get anywhere from 2 to 4 uses depending on how much I use each time. 😊
