Hello, hello!

Today’s post is my anti-haul of the some of cruelty-free makeup launches from Sephora (all photos are screencaps from the Sephora website):

Tarte Make Believe In Yourself Eye and Cheek Palette $52 CAD

I love Tarte, but I won’t be picking this one up. Why? Two main reasons, the first being that I probably already own dupes for all of the shades. And the second being the price.

Farsali Unicorn Essence $67 CAD

This looks absolutely gorgeous. But at that price, it is not going to happen!

Nars Banc de Sable Highlighter Palette $62 CAD

Another stunning palette from Nars, but I already own some similar shades, and the darkest shade would be way to dark for my ghostly face!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Palette $62

I like the concept, but I don’t like lip palettes, they are difficult to keep from getting messy. Give me lipstick in a tube or a liquid lipstick any day!

  4. Yasss! Love this post, it’s such a great idea!
    I feel the same about any high-end palette and their shades. Yeah they’re pretty, but I probably have the shades too and I’m not looking hard enough for them lol.
    Ah…farsali… been wanting to try it but don’t think I can spend that much on a product like that. 😔
    I think my friend showed me that lip palette and I didn’t like it lol. Like you, I’d rather have lipsticks and liquid lipsticks.

  13. That Tarte palette is one that’s really tempted me but the price is so high I think I’ll be able to resist. I love reading anti hauls, hauls always make me want to buy things and these remind me why I shouldn’t buy them! 😀

  15. Seems like the anti-haul movement is gaining a lot of momentum! I’ve been seeing so many of these types of posts.
    I’ve not seen Tarte’s latest “wheel” offering. I’ve always been on the fence about the layout of their palettes. I just imagine how annoying it is to store. Last year’s palette had the center portion completely empty – what a waste of space.
    Lip palettes are a huge turn off for me! Nope nope nope!

  16. The Tarte palette looks gorge but I probably have dupes as well. I’m trying to be more mindful of what I buy in regards to makeup. My weakness is lipstick though. You just can never have enough. 😉

  25. Great post! I don’t know what Anastasia Beverly Hills was thinking when they created that Lip Palette. It’s just not practical for daily use plus it’s bulky. Who is going to travel around with this to retouch their lips on the go?? It too big! Plus the colors LOL! That’s a no for me! LOL
