Milani The Multitasker Face Powder Review

Hello, hello!

Milani The Multitasker Face Powder

Today I have a review of The Multitasker Face Powder from Milani Cosmetics. I purchased this recently when I was in Nova Scotia visiting my parents earlier this month. I’ve never see Milani at pharmacies here in Montreal, so whenever I’m in NS, I always look for Milani – plus it happened to be on sale! (Info in italics is taken from the Milani website)

Milani The Multitasker Face Powder

This matte, oil-free powder performs as a foundation, a shine-zapping touch-up and even a highlighter and bronzer—depending on the shade. An instant addiction for anyone on-the-go, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

I’ve been using this face powder as a setting powder and for touch-ups during the day. It is matte, but I use it over my more dewy finish foundations to achieve a not quite dewy, not quite matte, finish. Hopefully that makes sense. I don’t like a super, flat, matte finish for my skin, but I think that it would achieve that if used over a matte finish foundation if that is your preference.

The Multitasker Face Powder is currently listed as being available in six different shades – 02 Light Medium,, 03 Medium, 04 Light Tan, 05 Tan, 06 Medium Tan, and 07 Dark Tan. I have shade 02 Light Medium, which is a perfect shade match for me.

The compact is metallic looking plastic on the outside and cheap plastic looking on the inside – but it is a sturdy casing. On the inside there is mirror, and a small velvet pad application in the compartment under the powder. I rarely ever use the pad that comes with as I prefer to use a brush for applying powder, but kept it for touch-ups.

All in all, I like this face powder.

Have you tried this one? What is your fave face powder?

Disclosure: I purchased this.

  1. This looks like a really nice powder, the embossing is pretty but as you say they never last. I haven’t really used a face powder for ages, the nearest I’ve got is the Laura Gellar Balance and brighten which is a mineral makeup. I just use it like you do over a dewy base just to take some of the shine down.

    Thanks for sharing this one!

  2. It’s hard to find a big selection of Milani here! I haven’t seen this before. It sounds like a nice powder! I usually use Rimmel Stay Matte but have been branching out to try new things like the Cover Fx Mattifying Powder and the RCMA No Colour Powder.

  3. Love the design on the powder – but I’m such a sucker for things like that. Sounds like it might be a little too matte for my liking though, my skin is on the drier side so I have to be careful with the setting powders I use. My faves are the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder and IT Cosmetics CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder. 🙂
