Today I have a review of the Wave Spray from Ouai. I purchased this for myself back in December after talking about it with Stacey (The Bambi Eyes) on her blog and IG. [info in italics taken from the Sephora website]
What it is: A weightless texture hair mist infused with rice protein to add hold for effortlessly chic, undone hair.

If you want to know more… Wave Spray is made with rice protein instead of sea salt so is safe against color-treated and/or keratin-treated hair. The floral fragrance contains notes of bergamot, Italian lemon, rose de mai, magnolia, lily, blackberry, violet, cedarwood, amber, patchouli, sandalwood, and white musk.
I prefer to wear my hair wavy, but I really dislike it when products make my hair feel heavy, crunchy or stiff. The Wave Spray enhances my natural waves without making them feel gross or look dull or dirty. It also tames frizz!
My only complaint is that the scent is a little too strong for my sensitive nose. The scent is quite lovely, but when I use it, I smell it all day, which gets to be a little overwhelming at times. I wish that the scent was about half as strong.

I’m so glad you ended up loving it as much as I do! I spray it so much yet I haven’t gotten halfway through the bottle so I think that’s pretty amazing lol. Perhaps your hair is healthier than mine because my dry hair pretty much demolishes the scent you mentioned throughout the day. I can see why it would be bothersome though if you’re constantly always smelling it lol
