Hello!
Today I have a review of the Secret Genius Eau de Parfum from Pinrose. Their perfumes are both cruelty free and vegan! [info in italics taken from the Pinrose website, and photo of full size bottle taken from Sephora]
Melt hearts with this romantic blend of vanilla and caramel. Perfect for hatching plans and sneaking kisses.
I got a deluxe rollerball sample with my Sephora Beauty Insider points just before the holidays. When I first tested this perfume out, I really did not like it, I found it to be very strongly scented, and overpoweringly sweet. I set it aside and tried it again about three weeks ago, and this time I found it to be lovely.
To my nose it is more sweet than spicy, as the caramel and vanilla notes seem to be strongest. I wish that the cedarwood and sandalwood notes were a little more pronounced.
Pinrose scents are meant to be either worn alone or combined with other scents in the collection.
Have you tried any of the Pinrose scents?
Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!
Disclosure: I used my Sephora points to get this.
Isn’t it funny how our opinions of fragrances can change so much over time?! I’m always tempted to re-try ones I hated at first sniff. Haha!
Pinrose sounds so interesting—I’ve been wanting to try them! Secret Genius sounds delish.

So true. Plus our scent preferences change over time.
There are a few that I want to check out from Pinrose, they have several interesting sounding scents.

I haven’t seen this brand at the Sephoras over here. I swear for a French company, Sephora favours US and CA market heavily. Love the transparency with you disclosing the points for product! Love the honesty~~~ xox

I don’t think I’ve seen it in the Sephora stores here in Quebec, but I haven’t been to one of their stores in a few months to help stick with my low buy.
Thank you 🙂

I wonder what changed from your initial use of the perfume to now?
Haven’t heard of this brand at all. The packaging is purty!

Not sure if it was my nose or if the perfume mellowed. But I even wore it today and loved it,

I think the reason is… hormones! Didn’t want to believe it, but I think it’s probably true.
I blind-bought a TBS raspberry fragrance, and I loved it so much that I bought another bottle (you’ll read about it in my latest haul post which I’ve planned for next week, and I’m still adding to it).
Anyhoo… when I tried the fragrance 2 weeks later I didn’t love it anymore. And within minutes I was thinking about who would want to take the 2 bottles of fragrance off my hands… but then I decided to leave it for now and try it again (and again and again) over the next few weeks.

I never thought of that!

This sounds really nice, caramel and vanilla type scents are nice in most perfumes 🙂 Rollerballs last surprisingly well on the skin I find.

It is nice, I just wish that the scent was a little more on the spicy side.

I think that it might be fairly new at Sephora.
