Hello, hello!
Today I have a review of the Cleansing Clay (Jasmine & Chrysanthemum) from Harmony + Blossom, a Canadian company that makes luxurious, handcrafted, botanical skincare. The owner / founder reached out to me, and I was intrigued to test out their products because they are a cruelty free Canadian company! [info in italics taken from the Harmony + Blossom website]
Rejuvenate, nourish and balance your skin with this Cleansing Clay handcrafted with Coconut Milk, Banana, Licorice Root, Rice Powder, Jasmine, Chrysanthemum and French Pink Clay. The nourishing dry powder formula gently yet deeply cleanses to remove makeup, dirt and impurities.
Skin Type: Ideal for all skin types including sensitive and acne-prone complexions.
This Product Addresses: Dehydration, dullness, impurities, inflammation, breakouts.
The packaging is very pretty with its floral watercolour print, and it has all of the product information on it – what it is, how to use it, and the ingredients. I particularly love the message inside the top flap (pictured above right).
The first thing that I did after photographing the packing and product, was to do my usual skin patch test to check for product sensitivity even though it is formulated to be safe for sensitive skin types.
In my experience, my skin doesn’t do well with daily exfoliation. Because I know this, I’ve been using the Cleansing Clay once every two to three days. But if your skin does well with daily exfoliation I can see it being a great daily cleanser. It is formulated to work for all skin types – even sensitive and acne prone skins.
The Cleansing Clay gives a gentle exfoliating effect – it is not at all rough or scratchy. The grainy bits are very fine, and the combination of ingredients both cleanses and soothes the skin so it feels super clean without being irritated for dried out.
If you recall, I do not usually like products with Jasmine in them, but for some reason, I cannot smell the Jasmine when I use the Cleansing Clay. It must blend in with the other ingredients in a way that works for my nose!
Ingredients: French Pink (Lilite) Clay, Coconut Milk (Maltodextrin and Milk Protein) Powder*, Rice Powder (Oryza Sativa)*, Banana Extract (Musa Apientum)*, Licorice Root Extract (Glycyrrhiza Glabra)*, Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum Parthenium) Botanical Extract*, Jasmine (Jasmine Grandiflorum) Botanical Powder*. *Certified Organic Ingredient
Do you use exfoliating cleansers in your skincare routine? Or are you more into using chemical (acid type) exfoliating products?
Harmony + Blossom’s range of skincare products include a Cleansing Facial Nectar, a Jasmine & Rose Floral Essence, a Jasmine & White Tea Facial Nectar, a Peony & Diamonds Facial Dew, and Radiance Beauty Mask.
Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤
Disclosure: In case you missed it at the beginning, this is a PR Sample for review. However my opinionated sensitive skin is entirely my own!

The packaging is so pretty. I usually dislike jasmine, but I don’t even notice it – it must be the right combo!

I’d love to give this a try, it sounds lovely! I use exfoliating cleansers but only perhaps once a week or so as I find they can be a little harsh for more regular use on my skin. Great review Jodi! 🙂

Thanks! My skin can’t handle too frequent exfoliation either.
