Monthly Empties – April 2018

Hello, hello!

Today I have my monthly empties to share with you, as well as whether or not I would re-purchase and why. I’m still making fairly decent progress in using things up and only buying replacements as I finish things up.

Let’s take a look – this month I have empties in Skincare, Haircare, and Makeup, as well as a small lipstick declutter.

Skincare Empties:

Empties April 2018

Pacifica Sea Foam Complete Face Wash – This was a really great facial cleanser but I hated the coconut scent so I won’t be re-purchasing this one. I might try out one of the other facial cleansers though once I finish up some of the cleansers in my stash. The original review is here.

Quo Luxury Cotton Facial Pads – I just purchased a different brand of facial cotton pads and there is definitely a difference in quality. The Quo Luxury ones are super soft, and the new ones that I have are rough in comparison so I will likely re-buy the Quo ones, and use up the rough ones for swatches.

The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid 2% – I purchased a replacement weeks before the current Deciem drama. This was repackaged (and possibly reformulated) as the Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion. It works well for my sensitive skin and the price is budget friendly. The original review is here.

Bite Beauty Sample Kit  from the Sephora 2018 Bite Beauty Birthday Gift Set (Agave Lip Balm and Agave Sugar Lip Scrub) – I plan on buying the full sized versions of both the Lip Balm and the Lip Scrub.

Derma E Purifying Daily Detox Scrub – This was such a great purifying and exfoliating scrub that came in my Petit Vour subscription box. It is on my wishlist to purchase the full size once I use up more of my stash. The original review is here.

Haircare Empties:

Hask Chia Seed Dry Shampoo – I’ve already repurchased the Argan version of this dry shampoo which I like even more than the Chia Seed one. Reviews of both the Chia Seed and Argan versions are here and here.

Attitude Super Leaves Nourishing & Strengthening Conditioner – I really liked this conditioner, it worked well with my thick, wavy hair. I’ve already purchased a replacement in the Colour Protection formulation to try out.The shampoo is nearly finished as well, with maybe one or two uses left so you will see it in next month’s empties. Original review is here.

Makeup Empties & Decluttering:

Empties April 2018

Hey Honey Bésame Mucho Lip Balm – I got this Lip Balm in an Ipsy Glam Bag last year, I really liked it. I have several lip balms to use up right now, and Bite Beauty is easier for me to find locally so I won’t be replacing this one any time soon. Original review is here.

Nyx Whipped Lip and Cheek Soufflé in Pink Cloud- this one is a declutter, as the colour just does not suit me as either a lip or cheek product. Original first impressions is here.

Nyx Lip Lingerie in Embellishment – another declutter. A pretty shade, just not a pretty shade on me, I’ve had this liquid lipstick for over a year now and haven’t worn it since shortly after buying it in Jan/Feb 2017. Original review is here.

Nyx Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Tea & Cookies – another declutter. This one is almost two years old, and is starting to dry out, so into the bin it goes. I still love the rose shade though. Original review is here.

First Aid Beauty Triple Protection Skin Tint in Fair – This was a sample from Sephora. I liked this tinted SPF moisturizer, as long as my skin was not dry I found that it clings to dry patches. I ended up buying the full size of Juice Beauty CC Cream with SPF 30 instead of this one. Review of the FAB Triple Protection Skin Tint is here, and the Juice Beauty review is here.

Empties April 2018

I’m happy to still be making good progress at using things up in my stash and trying not to buy things needlessly. Have you finished up a lot this month?

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤
