Hello, hello!
While I wait for my July Petit Vour box to arrive, I thought that I would show you my summer hair essentials. If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you will know that my hair is thick and wavy. I dye my hair and I try not to heat style it very often. My hair is also super prone to frizz.
Condition and Treat:
DevaCurl Melt into Moisture Matcha Butter Conditioning Mask – I used my Sephora Beauty Insider points to get this deluxe sized sample. This stuff makes my hair so silky soft and manageable. The full size is $49, but I’m planning on splurging on it since it does such a beautiful job with my hair. Full review is here.
Yarok Feed Your Ends Leave-In Conditioner – Not only does this conditioning spray smell amazing, it works so well to add hydration to my hair without making it greasy. It can be used as a detangler (definitely works for me) and as a heat protecting spray (haven’t tested this, as I haven’t been heat styling at all this summer). This was a Petit Vour sample, full review is here.
Style and Control:
Ouai Wave Spray – I bought this at Sephora in December 2017 / January 2018. This gives my hair beautifully beachy waves. I still think that it is a little too highly scented for my preference, but since it works so well with my hair, I’ll definitely use it up. Full review is here.
Briogeo Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Avocado Leave-In Defining Crème – I’ve been using this since February / March 2017, and this tube should be in my monthly empties in the next month or two. This helps leave my waves soft and under control. No crunchy curls here! I tend to alternate between using the Ouai Wave Spray and the Briogeo Curl Charisma. Full review is here.
Do you have wavy or out of control hair? What do you use to tame your mane?
Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!
Disclosure: All purchased by me!
I totally have thick, wavy, frizzy hair! I love using the Briogeo Don’t dispair, repair deep conditioning mask. I’ve also been loving the Shu Uemura deep conditioning mask I got a while back. Both leave my hair really silky and less frizzy and easier to manage.

I really liked the Briogeo mask sample that I tried, I’ll have to take another look at it!

I’ve been wondering if the briogeo curl charisma would work for my hair? Because mine is pretty thin but also wavy but idk. I’m slowly starting to warm up to the ouai wave spray but I’m with you on the scent lol

It probably would work for your hair. Are you near a Sephora store? Ask for a sample to try before buying the full size.

My hair in its natural state is best described as mop hair. It’s not even dry. It’s just… mop-like!
Every day I wake up looking like some furry creature died on my head. So I wash and condition my hair every morning. I use a lot of conditioner because I don’t brush my hair. I detangle my hair in the shower – using conditioner and my fingers. This routine helps me transform my hair on a daily basis. But I have to stick to the routine. Otherwise it’s game over in no time! 😀
I don’t use any other hair products – just shampoo + conditioner, and that’s it!

Haha, when my hair is shorter it behaves like that.
If I don’t use a bit if hair goop (spray, cream etc) my hair will frizz up so bad!

This is a great round up! I have stick straight hair but I put waves in it 90% of the time, so I tend to use some products for wavy curly hair. I’m so tempted to try that Ouai Wave Spray – I like that it’s not made with sea salt!

The Ouai wave spray works so well on my hair, I wish that they made a less scented or unscented version because it is too strong for me! But I’m determined to use it up.

Thanks for Sharing your thoughts, Have you ever used Tea Tree oil
for your hair?
I would like to listen more about that as I hear lots of people recommending that for my hair.

I haven’t used teat tree oil for my hair as I’m allergic to it unfortunately.
