Hello, hello!
Today I have a little review of the Sensitive Formula from Native Deodorant. Both myself and the Mister have tested out the regular formula natural deodorants and find them to work really well (review is here). I have sensitive skin, and have occasionally reacted to baking soda in natural deodorants if I use it daily for long periods of time. Because of this, I try to use a baking soda free deodorant on days that I’m working from home to give my sensitive underarm skin a break.
So why don’t I just use a baking soda free deodorant all the time? Honestly, it is mainly because most sensitive formula / baking soda free deodorants just don’t work that well for my body and will usually suddenly stop working after abut four hours (sometimes less).
So how does the Native Sensitive Deodorant measure up?
It applies smoothly without any dragging or crumbling – very creamy. The scent is subtle and fresh. And most importantly, it works for more than four hours on me! I’d say that it works well on me for about 16 hours before it starts to wear off. And when it does start to wear off, it is very gradual – I don’t suddenly become a stink-beast (thankfully)!
Ingredients: Caprylic/capric triglyceride (fractionated coconut oil), arrowroot powder, stearyl alcohol, magnesium hydroxide (milk of magnesia), shea butter, coconut oil, hydrogenated castor oil, polyglycerol-3 beeswax (cera bellina wax), jojoba esters, tocopherol (Vitamin E), L. acidophilus (natural bacteria found in your body already), maltodextrin, glyceryl caprylate, glyceryl undecylenate + proprietary oil blend (fragrance).
I think that what makes this sensitive formula work so well is the milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) and acidophilus (probiotic) content as none of the sensitive deodorants that I’ve previously tried contained either of these ingredients.
Do you use natural deodorants? If so, which one(s) do you use?
Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!
Disclosure: I purchased this!
Great to hear this one works reasonably well.

I was surprised, since most baking soda free deodorants don’t work for more than four hours on me.

I love it that you’re always blogging about brands that I don’t know about 😀 I hardly use deodorant. It takes a lot to get me sweating haha When do use, I tend to end up with Mitchum (not natural at all, but fragrance free).

Thanks so much! If I don’t use something I’ll reek like a stink beast! 😂

I’ve heard such good things about Native dedorants – so interesting that they include Milk of Magnesia in there. My favourite natural deodorant is the Crystal one. I buy the roll on and it lasts pretty much all day on me. Plus I love that it’s unscented (I’m not a scented deodorant kind of person)

Both the Mister and my mother think that it is the best deodorant that they’ve ever tried out too!
