Today I have a review of a serum that I’ve wanted to try for SO LONG – the Volition Beauty Strawberry-C Brightening Serum. This was a Christmas gift from a dear friend. [info in italics taken from the Sephora website]
What it is: A brightening serum powered by strawberry-derived vitamin C for noticeable radiance, hydration, and even-toned skin.
Skin Type: Normal, Dry, Combination, and Oily
Skincare Concerns: Pores, Dryness, and Dullness and Uneven Texture
Highlighted Ingredients:
– Strawberry Fruit and Seed Extract: Help brighten dull skin, unclog pores, and remove excess oil.
– Kakadu Plum: Helps reinforce luminosity and reduce appearance of redness.
– Hyaluronic Acid: Promotes skin elasticity for plump, hydrated skin.
If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you will know that I love serums, and that my skin responds really well to Vitamin C based skincare. This serum is beautiful – it is gentle and fast absorbing, hydrating and definitely works well for brightening the skin – perfect for helping to deal with winter dryness and dullness. As an added plus, it doesn’t have that weird scent that some Vitamin C serums have. I don’t think that it smells like strawberries, but the scent is so so very minimal – I can’t really say what it smells like.
This is a cruelty free brand that I definitely want to try more from!

This serum looks lovely! I don’t think I have tried Volition skincare (I’ve tried so much over the years!), so I’ll have to check the brand out.

I’ve never heard of this brand! I’m intrigued. I love vitamin c products in general, they have done wonders for my skin!

Vitamin C serums typically smells like GROUND MEAT to me! 😮 This one looks good enough to douse onto a salad as dressing… what a nice gift to receive. 🙂
