Cardea Auset Noire Charcoal Mask Review

Hello, hello!

Today I’m reviewing the Noire Charcoal Mask by Cardea Auset that I received as a Christmas gift and have used it several times over the past month. This is the first product that I’ve used from this Canadian brand. [info in italics taken from the Cardea Auset website]

Cardea Auset Noire Charcoal Mask

Highly concentrated, customizable powder-blend designed to extract toxins from the skin’s surface and pores, leaving it cleansed and purified. Powder means no preservatives, just pure, active ingredients that create a super-charged face mask with the liquid of your choice.

Activated Charcoal draws dirt and toxins from deep within pores, exfoliates and brightens while stimulating blood flow to enhance circulation and up the glow-factor. Bentonite Clay is rich in minerals and absorbs up to 10 times its weight to draw out and envelop impurities.

I love that this is a powder formula with minimal ingredients, it allows you to choose what liquid to use with it to make your facial mask. It is however, very messy, so I mix it up over my bathroom sink to minimize the mess factor. I rinse the mask off with water, and then I use a washcloth to remove any stubborn traces of the mask that remain after rinsing.

This charcoal clay mask really does clean out your pores! It is heavy duty. My skin is a little pink after using, but that is normal with this type of clay mask. It isn’t a reaction type of redness, there is no burning, it just feels like an increase in blood circulation which means that any redness / pinkness will fade quite quickly.

Have you tried this facial mask? Do you like clay and / or charcoal masks?

Thanks for reading

  1. Wow, this sounds like a very powerful skin treat. Love it.
I saw a powder charcoal mask at TK Maxx, and I was wondering whether to buy it… I should have picked it up. Next time I will!

Oh, and I’m sorry I’m only now commenting on your (more or less) recent posts.
We’ve been busy preparing the house move for a little while now, and it’s been time-consuming. Just 2 more weeks, and then everything will be sorted out. xo
