Hello, hello – welcome to / welcome back to A Brash Attitude! Today I am reviewing two products that were sent to me to try out from Zion Health / Adama Minerals, the Scalp & Hair Scrub and Claydry Deodorant [info in italics taken from the Zion Health website]
Let’s look at the Deep Cleansing Scalp & Hair Scrub in the Green Apple with Sea Salt formula:
Dissolve build-up. Balance pH levels. Restore lustre and integrity.
Bring fragile, processed hair back to life. The combination of gentle exfoliation and penetrating nutrients purifies the scalp to create the perfect environment for healthy, resilient hair to grow. While removing a range of impurities and excess oils, clay minerals and sea salt simultaneously stimulate the healing and protecting functions of skin cells. Each strand of hair will be left cleansed and deeply nourished, resulting in lasting shine and flexibility.
This is a really nice scalp and hair scrub, and it smells so fresh – the Green Apple scent is amazing! My scalp and hair feel super clean, but not stripped. Gentle yet effective! The recommended usage is once a week, but I tend to go a little longer between uses as I try to only wash my hair twice a week, so approximately every third or fourth wash I’ll use it.
Now let’s take a look at the Claydry Deodorant in the Elderberry scent, Bold formula:
EXTRA STRENGTH BOLD PROTECTION Absorb odor with ClayClayDry absorbs odor and toxins with a special type of healing clay called Calcium Montmorillonite Clay.
Ingredient Benefits: • Arrowroot has moisture absorbing properties. Arrowroot is anti-inflammatory and also can work as an antiseptic, making it perfect for irritated areas such as burns, rashes and sores.• Ionic Clay Minerals contain more than 57 trace minerals to help absorb odor and balance skin pH.• Witch Hazel is a natural astringent commonly used to help absorb excess oil from the skin.• Chamomile Extract contains natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.• Bergamot Oil is rich in minerals and Vitamin C; well known for its natural anti-bacterial properties.
Both myself and the Mister have been trying out the Claydry Deodorant. It works really well for both of us, and even though it has baking soda in it, it does not cause as much irritation for me as other baking soda based deodorants, likely due to the arrowroot and chamomile.
It kept me smelling great even after a sweaty cardio workout! The elderberry scent is really great, a unisex tart berry scent.
