Garnier Skinactive Clearly Brighter SPF 30 Moisturizer Review

Hello, hello – welcome to / welcome back to A Brash Attitude!

Garnier Clearly Brighter SPF30 Moisturizer

Garnier recently became Leaping Bunny Certified cruelty free – so I decided to try a few things from them – one of which is the Skinactive Clearly Brighter SPF30 Moisturizer. I generally prefer mineral SPF formulations, but decided to try this one out as the mineral sunscreen that I wanted to buy was out of stock. I’ve been using this for well over two months now (maybe even three), so I feel that I’m ready to review. [info in italics taken from the Garnier Canada website]

Garnier Clearly Brighter SPF30 Moisturizer

Developed with our Antioxidant Complex of Vitamin C & E, and gentle exfoliating Lipo-Hydroxyl Acid (LHA). This fast absorbing, non-greasy formula helps reduce the look of visible sun-damage, revealing radiant, more even-toned, younger-looking skin.

I chose this moisturizer for two main reasons – the SPF level and the Vitamin C content – my skin does well with higher SPF factors, and loves Vitamin C. The formula is very lightweight and non-greasy, and it plays nicely with foundation and concealer. I love products that help add brightness / radiance and help with fine lines.

It isn’t overly scented, but it does contain fragrance, so watch out if you have sensitivities (do a patch test).

If I was going to be outside all day, I prefer use a sunscreen instead of a moisturizer with added SPF. But this is good for those days when I’m not spending any real amount of time in the sun, but still want my skin to be protected.

Have you tried this moisturizer?
