Today I have something a little different than my usual product review. I was invited to the W Hotel here in downtown Montreal for the JetPeel Experience last week (November 2nd) – thank you JetPeel and Blend PR [info in italics and infographics / photos from JetPeel Press Release]

Based on subsonic jet stream application, JetPeel enables fast transdermal delivery with no needles, no pain, and no downtime. JetPeel turns targeted solutions into a fine mist that is able to penetrate the skin on a deeper level helping to provide you with specific treatments tailored just for you—travelling at a subsonic speed of over 200 m/s. Applied with an advanced JetPeel wand, the jet stream exfoliates the epidermal layer and gently stretches the skin surface, opening microchannels that allow for noninvasive delivery of nutritive microdroplets deep into the skin. The treatment takes about 45 minutes.

I was very intrigued by this facial technology, especially as it has no downtime, and is painless!

When I first arrived, the JetPeel Technician, Erin took a good look at my skin, and asked me a few questions to help target the treatment type based on my skincare concerns – which I’ll get into after walking you through the process.

The JetPeel is feels super cold – I jokingly compared it to February in Montreal when it occasionally goes down to -40C. It doesn’t hurt at all. The first step is the lymphatic drainage – it feels like a massage, and it reduces toxins and puffiness and increases circulation in the skin – this is done from your hairline down your neck to your clavicles.

The next step is the exfoliation / hydradermabrasion stage, where the chemical exfoliant is applied, and then sits for approximately 6 or 7 minutes before being neutralized. There are several different exfoliation ingredients to choose from, a Glycolic Acid 10% solution was used for me. The JetPeel machine basically blasts off dead skin cells and mades the skin ready for the next stage – the hydroporation and booster infusion stage.

The hydroporation and booster infusion stage is, in my opinion, “where the magic happens” – this is where you can target specific concerns and the treatments are delivered deep into the layers of the skin. We decided to do a combination treatment based on my skin concerns – redness / mild rosacea on my cheeks, mild hyper-pigmentation (from a sunburn from several years ago), and fine lines / wrinkles on my forehead, outer eye, and smile lines. Let’s take a look at each of the treatments / solutions that were used on me:

Immediately after the JetPeel Treatment my skin was slightly pink, but not in a sensitive skin reaction way, just in that freshly cleansed way. My skin looked so smooth, plumped and glowing! Any pinkness disappeared before I made it back to my place from downtown. Its been a week post-treatment, and I look well-rested, and I can see a reduction in the pinkness in my cheeks, my serums and moisturizers feel like they sink in faster.

All in all, an AMAZING experience!
