Today I’m reviewing the newly launched Dream Bio-Retinol + Shorea Butter Night Cream from Three Ships Beauty, a Canadian cruelty free and vegan skincare brand. I purchased it for myself using my discount code during their Virtual Launch Event back in October (and re-stocked my Purify Aloe + Amino Acid Cleanser). Our new night cream works to encourage skin cell turnover and even out skin tone, leaving your skin feeling softer and smoother overnight. The key? A super gentle, plant-based retinol from Picão Preto – a medicinal herb that’s native to Brazil.

Look closer: Vegan squalane and seed butters like Shorea and Murumuru give this product a nice creamy texture that seals in moisture.

The Dream Night Cream is not at all drying or irritating like traditional retinol serums and creams can be. I think that the combination of the bio-retinol with the squalane and seed butters that make it so hydrating and non-irritating. It is lightweight, and non-greasy. I can see this night cream working for pretty much all skin types – unless you have a sensitivity to one of the ingredients. And unlike traditional retinol based skincare, this cream can be used during pregnancy / breast-feeding.

One of the really cool things about this brand is that on their website they have an ingredient glossary so you can familiarize yourself with ingredients AND where they are sourced.
