Petit Vour December 2018

This ultimate skin food blends emollient rich rosehip and argan oils with shea and cocoa butters to nourish, smooth, and soften the appearance of dry skin. Soothing rosewater delights the senses as superfruit antioxidants and ultra-hydrating aloe vera help protect and uplift skin’s moisture barrier for a luxurious, all-over body treatment.

This is my second body lotion / butter from Andalou Naturals – the last one was in my September box! Luckily I love body lotions, and this time I got a rose scented one. Can’t wait to try this!

Overall, this month’s box is worth $46.50 USD – which works out to $63.24 CAD. As well, I received the replacement for my defective Goldfaden MD Bright Eyes Eye Cream from the October box. They sent me two of them – possibly to make up for it taking so long to replace.

Andalou Naturals Kukui Cocoa Nourishing Body Butter Review

Andalou Naturals KuKui Cocoa Body Butter

Hello, hello!

Today I’m reviewing the Kukui Cocoa Nourishing Body Butter from Andalou Naturals that came in my September Petit Vour box. [info in italics taken from the Petit Vour website]

Andalou Naturals KuKui Cocoa Body Butter

This luxurious body butter blends argan oil with shea and cocoa butters to nourish, smooth, and soften the appearance of dry skin. Hawaiian kukui, evening primrose, and superfruit antioxidants blended with ultra-hydrating aloe vera help pamper and protect skin’s moisture barrier for an all-over body treatment.

This is such a great body butter – it is thick and super hydrating without being heavy or greasy. It absorbs into my skin quickly, and smells so good. The scent is reminiscent of the Alba Botanica Natural Hawaiian Body Oil but with a hint of cocoa.

It also makes a great hand cream! My hands get dry so easily when the weather starts to cool down, so a ultra-hydrating but non-greasy cream is essential for me.

Andalou Naturals KuKui Cocoa Body Butter

Ingredients 100% Cruelty-Free and Vegan | Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Purified Water (Aqua), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Capric/Caprylic Triglycerides, Vegetable Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*†, Stearyl Alcohol, Lecithin, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter*, Fruit Stem Cells (Malus Domestica, Solar Vitis) and BioActive 8 Berry Complex*, Panthenol, Stearic Acid, Allantoin, Tocopherol, Aleurites Moluccana (Kukui) Seed Oil, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Bean Extract*, Vanilla Tahitensis Fruit Extract, Argania Spinsosa (Argan) Kernel Oil*, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil*, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract*†, Caramel, Aspalathus Linearis (Rooibos) Extract*†, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenethyl Alcohol, Vanilla Isolates, Salvia Sclarea (Clary Sage) Oil* | *Certified Organic Ingredients.

As you can see from the ingredient list, there are loads of skin friendly stuff in there!

What is your favourite body butter?

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!

Petit Vour Sept 2018

Petit Vour Sept 2018

Petit Vour is a cruelty-free and vegan monthly subscription box with four (occasionally five) products. The subscription is $18 USD a month in the U.S., $23 USD for Canada, and $25 USD for the rest of the world. With the exchange rate (1.3539) my box cost me $31.14 CAD this month

Petit Vour Sept 2018

Let’s take a look inside to see what I got this month:

Petit Vour Sept 2018

Axiology Lip Crayon in Enduring $26 USD

Petit Vour Sept 2018

Axiology’s lip crayon formula is crafted with deeply replenishing ingredients that keep lips hydrated, all day long. These heavy pigmented shades sweep the lips in a luxurious matte finish—and never lose their luster. With a buttery-soft texture and all-natural + organic ingredients, this lip crayon line is made for the sophisticated and kind lipstick connoisseur.

I love lipsticks, and Enduring looks like a very wearable shade.

Enduring: Rooted in burnt-purple and tinted with redwood, Enduring shines steady upon your lips. This timeless shade is equal parts elegance and delight, sublime for waterfall hikes or strolls under city lights. Paired with a glittering eye, it emanates glamour—opt for a nude palette, and you’ll strike deep fascination.

The packaging is beautiful – the box is handmade recycled paper (made by women in Bali)!

Olverum Bath Oil sample size (15 ml) $13 USD, full size (125 ml) $52 USD

A unique and luxurious aromatic blend of essential oils which combine to ease stress and relax tension in both mind and body, bringing you back to your complete and natural self.

Olverum Bath Oil is highly concentrated and only half a capful (5ml) is needed per bath. Accordingly, virtually all the oil is absorbed by the skin leaving no greasy residue in the bath after use.

I love bath oils. On the package it says that the sample size is enough for three baths!

100% Cruelty-Free and Vegan | Siberian fir Needle, Lavandin, Eucalyptus, Lemon, Rosemary, Exotic Verbena, True Lavender, Lime, Juniper, and Geranium essential oils.

It smells really great, I cannot wait to try this bath oil!

Evolvh Ultra Shine Moisture Shampoo + Conditioner sample size $5 USD, shampoo travel size (2 oz) $9 USD, full size (8.5 oz / 250 ml) $26 USD,  conditioner travel size $9 USD (2 oz), $28 USD.

Petit Vour Sept 2018

The shampoo: Made with squeaky-clean ingredients, this niche shampoo is beloved by discerning stylists and beauty devotees alike. UltraShine creates smooth, shiny, lustrous hair while adding herbal nutrients, seaweeds, fruits and botanicals for hair nourishment.

It balances hair’s pH level in order to leave it strong and silky. Actives like seaweed extract, mango, and apricot deliver crucial nutrients to thirsty strands, while amino and fatty acids restore hair from the inside out and provide anti-aging benefits.

The conditioner: Repair and restore, reduce frizz and increase color retention. This formula is versatile enough to tame a spectrum of hair types, from straight to curly, and fine to super thick.

It detangles and adds shine, and it’s also safe for chemically treated or colored hair. Actives include wild pansy, sweet clover, and apricot extracts, all of which contain nourishing antioxidants, plus amino and fatty acids which restore hair from the inside our and provide anti-aging benefits.

The bottles are so tiny! Hopefully I’ll be able to get more than one use from them. Both smell really nice.

Andalou Naturals Kukui Cocoa Nourishing Body Butter sample size $2 USD (1.7 oz / 50 ml), full size $14 USD (8 oz / 236 ml)

Petit Vour Sept 2018

This luxurious body butter blends argan oil with shea and cocoa butters to nourish, smooth, and soften the appearance of dry skin. Hawaiian kukui, evening primrose, and superfruit antioxidants blended with ultra-hydrating aloe vera help pamper and protect skin’s moisture barrier for an all-over body treatment.

I love body butters, and this one smells so GOOD! It is similar to the Hawaiian Body Oil from Alba Botanicals that I recently fell in love with, but with a hint of cocoa scent. I’m probably going to love this.

Petit Vour Sept 2018

Overall, this month’s box seems like a really good one. The total value is $46 USD ($62.28 CAD).

What do you think of this month’s box?

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!

June 2018 Empties

Hello, hello!

I cannot believe it is July already! This month I didn’t finish up as many products as I had hoped, once again, there are so many things that are NEARLY but not quite finished.

Let’s take a look – it is only body and skincare as I haven’t continued going through and decluttering my lipsticks.

Bath and Body Empties:

Empties June 2018

Wildcraft Buff Face and Body Scrub – I love this exfoliating scrub for body use as my face is far too sensitive for this type of exfoliation. It smells like spearmint in a refreshing and non-toothpaste way! I’ll be replacing this as soon as I use up a few more things in my stash. Review is here.

Tom’s Of Maine Deodorant in Soothing Calendula – This deodorant is NOT for me. It worked great at first but it seemed that the longer that I used it, the worse that it worked for me. I’ve heard that it works amazing for some people. I’ve been trying to use this up for so long – and only using it on days that I was working from home. Review is here.

EIR NYC Sunset Oil – This came in my May Petit Vour box. I absolutely loved this body oil for when I got out of the shower. I’m hoping to find something similar but a little more budget friendly. Review is here.

Skincare Empties:

Empties June 2018

Zabana Essentials Banana and Colloidal Oatmeal Face Mask + Scrub – I really liked this facial mask that came in my May Petit Vour box. The sample pack was large enough to get at least 6 to 8 uses! I have things to use up in my stash so I won’t be buying a full size of this one right now. Review is here.

Shamanuti Pumpkin Enzyme Masque – Another Petit Vour product. This was a great mask, but I can find another, more budget friendly dupe. Again, no rush to try to find a dupe for it as I am still working my way through my stash. Review is here.

Ingenium Naturals Tsubaki Oil – This was a great multi-purpose oil. I’ve used it on my face, in my hair, and even in the bath. I have a bunch of oils to use up, so I won’t be replacing this right now. This was a PR sample. Review is here.

Andalou Naturals Goji Peptide Perfecting Cream – This was also from a Petit Vour box. The sample was small, so I could only give first impressions on this facial cream. Again, I have several things to use up in my stash so no need to buy a full size to test right now. Review is here.

Nearly Finished:

Empties June 2018

Wet N Wild Photofocus Pressed Powder – I hit pan on this last month, and it is still hanging on! Hopefully I’ll be able to finish it up in July. Review is here.

So there you have it – all the things that I’ve managed to finish this month. Not as much as I had hoped, but progress is progress. Did you finish up much this month?

Empties June 2018

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!

Disclosure: All purchased by me except for the Wildcraft Buff (gift from a friend) and the Ingenium Naturals Tsubaki Oil (PR sample).

Andalou Naturals Goji Peptide Perfecting Cream Mini-Review

Hello, hello!

Today I have a mini-review / first impressions of the Goji Peptide Perfecting Cream from Andalou Naturals that came in my April Petit Vour box. Why a mini-review? Because it is a small blister pack type sample of 0.14oz (4g). [info in italics taken from the Petit Vour website]

Petit Vour April 2018

Fruit stem cell complex, resveratrol CoQ10, and super antioxidants help support dermal vitality as goji glycopeptides uplift tone and texture for velvety soft skin. It leaves the appearance with fewer fine lines and wrinkles, and a rejuvenated complexion. For Dry/Very Dry Skin

Andalou Naturals Goji Peptide Perfecting Cream

Although the sample says that it is a single use pack, there was enough in it for me to try out for four days – enough to gather some impressions, but not really long enough to have an opinion on its effectiveness on fine lines / wrinkles.

It is a fairly lightweight facial cream considering it is geared for dry to very dry skin, but nonetheless, I found it to moisturize really well, without feeling heavy.

100% Cruelty-Free and Vegan | Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Purified Water (Aqua), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Glyceryl Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter*†, Vegetable Glycerin, Fruit Stem Cells (Malus Domestica, Solar Vitis) and BioActive 8 Berry Complex*, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Lycium Barbarum (Goji) Fruit Extract, Tocopherol, Glyceryl Laurate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Allantoin, Bisabolol, Resveratrol, Ubiquinone (CoQ10), Borago Officinalis (Borage) Seed Oil*, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil*, Xanthan Gum, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Riboflavin, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract*†, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract*†, Phenethyl Alcohol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Apricot Isolates, Vanilla Isolate, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil* | *Certified Organic Ingredients.

It has a mildly fruity scent – I guess that is the goji berry, and Orange Peel Oil.

All in all, I think that this cream might be worth trying out for a longer period of time, the full size is 1.7oz for $25 USD, so it isn’t super expensive.

Have you tried this facial cream?

Thanks fo reading and have a beautiful day!

Disclosure: This came in my Petit Vour subscription that I pay for.

Petit Vour Unboxing – April 2018

Today I have my unboxing and first impressions of the April 2018 Petit Vour subscription box. Reviews to follow once I’ve had a chance to test things out!

Petit Vour is a cruelty-free and vegan monthly subscription box with four (occasionally five) products. The subscription is $18 USD a month in the U.S., $23 USD for Canada, and $25 USD for the rest of the world. The exchange rate was not great again this month ($1.3169), so this month’s box cost me $30.29 CAD.

Petit Vour April 2018

Let’s take a look inside. As always, the artwork on the information card is a lovely print. This month’s card celebrates their 5th Birthday, and has a message from their co-founders thanking their subscribers.

Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Last Looks Cream Blush in 04 Flushed ($25 USD)

Petit Vour April 2018

Yes! Another Juice Beauty product, this time a cream blush in a coral shade – I can’t wait to try this one out.

Suntegrity Skincare Vanish Organic Cleansing Oil ($8 USD)

Petit Vour April 2018

I like cleansing oils, so I’m looking forward to trying this one out. I’ll be putting this in my stash for now as I don’t want to have too many cleansers open at the same time.

Niu Body Piña Colada Lip Polish ($10 USD)

Petit Vour April 2018

I like lip scrubs – I’m hoping that this one isn’t too strongly coconut scented.

Andalou Naturals Face Cream Pod – Goji Peptide Perfecting ($3.29 USD)

Petit Vour April 2018

I’ve liked everything that I’ve tried so far from Andalou Naturals, so I have high hopes for this one. Hopefully I will be able to get more than one use out of this so I will be able to form a solid opinion on it.

Petit Vour April 2018

Total value $46.29 USD ($60.96 CAD)! What do you think of this month’s box?

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤
