Monthly Empties March 2019 – Part 2

March Empties - Skincare

Hello, hello!

Today I have the second part of my Monthly Empties – all my skincare finishes. Part one was all of my bath and haircare empties. And I will comment on if I will be purchasing or not, and link to my original reviews.

Let’s take a look:

March Empties - Skincare

Indie Lee Brightening Cleanser Sample – I got this as a free sample in my last well.ca order. The sample was too small for a full review, but I liked it enough that I want to buy the full size to really test it out.

Nova Scotia Fisherman Sea Kelp Lip Balms x2 – I finished one and the Mister finished the other. Great lip balm for winter. I have a ton of lip balms in my stash, so I have no plans on repurchasing for awhile. Review is here.

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Sun Shield Unscented SPF 28, and Sun Shield Clear Stick SPF 50  *These were PR Samples* I loved these sunscreens, and thankfully they both were nearly finished when I discovered that they were past their expiration dates. I have other sunscreen to use up, so no plans to purchase replacements at this time, but I would highly recommend their sunscreens, as they’re non-greasy and worked well for my sensitive skin. Reviews are here and here.

March Empties - Skincare

Bite Beauty Lip Balm – Another great lip balm, although I prefer their Lip Mask. Again, no plans to repurchase right now, I have a stash of lip balms to use up. Review is here.

Metta Comforting Hand Balm – This was a lifesaver for the winter months! It came in my Petit Vour subscription, and I’m sad that I finished it already. This is going on my wishlist for the fall since I don’t need a heavy duty hand cream in the warmer months. Review is here.

Aromatherapy Associates Hydrating Revitalizing Face Oil – Another Petit Vour subscription sample. This was a nice facial oil – hydrating but not heavy or greasy. I’ve no plans to purchase, as I have several facial oils in my stash to use up. Review is here.

March Empties - Skincare

Poetic Blend The Warrior Serum – I won this in an InstaGram giveaway. This serum is one of the best facial serums that I’ve ever used! My skin LOVED it. I’m hoping to buy a replacement soon. Review is here.

Little Barn Apothecary Aloe + Rosewater Balancing Mist – Another one from my Petit Vour subscription. I love facial mists, especially rose based ones. I have two more in my stash to use up, so no plans to buy a full size right now. Review is here.

So there you have it, I’m pretty happy to have finished up more things from my stash.

Thanks for reading

abrashattitude.com have a beautiful day!

Minimal Makeup Faves for May 2018

Hello, hello!

I cannot believe that it is already June! I thought that I would share my makeup faves for the month of May with you (and links to the reviews).

I’ve been wearing minimal makeup these days, but there are a few products that I’ve reached for on days that I wore makeup:

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream

This is perfect for when I want to be wearing sunscreen, but want some light coverage and evening out of my skintone. I don’t think that I’ve worn regular foundation in weeks! Review is here.

Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector

BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector

I’ve been using this under eye corrector since I purchased it in May 2016. It works well for me, and doesn’t crease on me. I especially need it during allergy season! Review is here.

Elate Cosmetics Creme Revealer

Elate Cosmetics Creme Revealer

I’ve been using this a lot since finishing up my Nyx HD Concealer. It works so well with my skintone, and doesn’t cake up! Review is here.

Wet n Wild Ultimate Brow

Wet n Wild Ultimatebrow Retractable Brow Pencil

I use this brow pencil for days when I want a quick and easy brow. When I have loads of time, I’ll use my SureThik Brow Powder, but when I’m strapped for time, I tend to go for this pencil as it is fool-proof! Review is here.

Essence The False Lashes Mascara or I ❤ Extreme Volume Waterproof Mascara

Both are my go to mascaras because they add volume and hold a curl for my stubborn stick straight lashes. I’ve purchased and repurchased both mascaras several times. Reviews are here and here.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipsticks

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick Swatches

I’m always wearing of the the Bite Beauty Lipsticks that I own. I have several and all are swatched in my Sweet Cream review ! I can’t wait to own more!

What were your favourites for May?

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!

Disclosure: Products purchased by me, except for the Juice Beauty CC Cream and Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick – those were birthday gifts (from my mom).

Bite Beauty Prismatic Multistick in Rose Pearl

Hello, hello!

I had a promo code from Sephora for a mini version of the Bite Beauty Prismatic Multistick in the shade Rose Pearl, and since it was on my wishlist, I picked it up with my last Sephora mini-haul. [info in italics taken from the Sephora website]

Bite Beauty Prismatic Multistick

What it is: A shimmering multistick that brings mesmerizing, pearl-inspired color to the lips, cheeks, or eyes.
What it does: This shimmering multistick delivers weightless, layerable color in a silicone-free formula. Like Bite Beauty’s original Multistick, Prismatic Pearl Multistick is breathable, blendable, and buildable. Wear each of the universally flattering pearl-inspired shades on their own for a mesmerizing monochromatic look, or layer them over any eye, cheek, or lip color—including original Multistick—for transformative dimension.

Bite Beauty Prismatic Multistick

The Prismatic Multistick comes in five different shades: Oyster Pearl (metallic taupe with silver shimmer), Rose Pearl (metallic rose with green and violet shimmer), Blush Pearl (metallic white with pink shimmer), Pink Pearl (metallic pink with red and pink shimmer) and Peacock Pearl (metallic teal with black, red, and green shimmer).

Bite Beauty Prismatic Multistick

The Prismatic Pearl Multistick is a really cool concept, as it is lip, eye and cheek safe. I’ve only tried it on my cheeks and lips so far, and it works well either way. It looks nice as a highlight, and as a pearly lip tint, and especially as a lip topper to add a pearly, metallic sheen to a lipstick. I think it is such a pretty shade!

Bite Beauty Prismatic Multistick

I think that I want to try them all! Have you tried any of the Prismatic Multisticks?

Disclosure: I used a promo code to get this for free with my last Sephora order.

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Balm Review

Hello, hello!

If you’ve been reading this blog for a little while, you’ll already know that I am a lip balm addict. I’ve been using the Agave Lip Mask nightly for well over a year now. When I finally used up one of the last stick type lip balms in my stash, I knew that I wanted to finally try the Agave Lip Balm. [info in italics taken from Sephora]

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Balm

What it is:  A perfect soothing balm for ultimate hydration and recovery that quickly repairs and restores lips.
What it does: A must have for on-the-go lip care, Agave Lip Balm is the perfect travel essential. Agave Lip Balm is a nourishing formula made from agave and rare Madagascan vanilla CO2 extract. Lips stay hydrated and protected all day long, making your lips look natural on their own. It also acts as a primer for any color application.

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Balm

At first use, I thought that it felt a lot like the Agave Lip Mask but in a stick form. I prefer to use lip balms in stick format when I’m out and about as it is less messy (and less germy)!

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Balm

After several uses, I think that I prefer the Agave Lip Mask as it feels less waxy and more silky. Don’t get me wrong, I do like the Agave Lip Balm, but I really LOVE the Lip Mask!

Ingredients:  – 5 Mg Trans-resveratrol from de Vitis Vinifera and Polygonum Cuspidatum
Lanolin* (Pharma Grade), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter**, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil*, Glyceryl Rosinate*, Cera Alba (Beeswax)**, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil**, Stearyl Alcohol*, Hydrated Silica*, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Sterols*, Copernica Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax**, Heptyl Undecylenate*, Crambe Abyssinica Seed Oil*, Mica*, Kaolin*, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil Unsaponifiables*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Cera (Wax)*, Hydrogenated Cottonseed Oil*, Flavor (Aroma), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Wax*, Glycerin**, Tocopherol*, Sorbitan Stearate*, Vanilla Tahitensis (Vanilla) Fruit Extract*, Agave Tequilana (Blue Agave) Nectar**, Vanilla Planifolia (Vanilla) Fruit Extract*, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil**, Acacia Decurrens Wax*, Polyglycerin-3*, Trans-Resveratrol*, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract**.

The Agave Lip Balm is cruelty free, but not vegan due to lanolin and beeswax content.

Have you tried either the Agave Lip Balm or the Lip Mask from Bite Beauty? Do you have a preference? What is your fave lip balm?

Disclosure: I purchased this!

Weekly Recap April 9th to 15th

Hello, hello!

Just a little recap of the past week’s blog posts in case you’ve missed out and want to catch up.

Monday, April 9th – Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream (SPF 30, Natural Glow) Review

Wednesday, April 11th – Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Sweet Cream Swatching

I went to H+M on Saturday and bought myself a few things – two blouses, a dress and a t-shirt. Let me know if you are interested in seeing what I purchased!

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!

Disclosure: Both products were birthday gifts from my mother.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Sweet Cream

Hello, hello!

This is another item from my recent Sephora mini haul from my mother for my birthday. So of course I picked out a Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick! If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you will know that I purchased my first Amuse Bouche Lipstick last year for my birthday as well, and have added a few more in both mini and full size to my collection.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Sweet Cream

This is less of a review, and more of a swatching and comparison with the other Amuse Bouche Lipsticks in my stash. In case you aren’t familiar with Bite Beauty, info in italics is taken from the Sephora website.

What it is:
A collection of high-impact lipsticks in dimensional shades that have been handcrafted to deliver extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.
What it does:
Swipe on bold, creamy lip color with Bite Beauty’s Amuse Bouche. Created and crafted by hand, Bite’s small batch, low-heat process preserves a balanced blend of lip-quenching nutrients, vitamins, and omega oils that are essential for achieving healthy-looking lips. Made with 12 edible oils and triple milled pigments, this lipstick provides saturated lip color with weightless coverage and a citrus flavor made from fresh pressed fruit.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Sweet Cream

Initially I was torn between Sweet Cream (muted peach) and Ginger Snap (fresh peach), and after googling several swatches of the two, I decided to pick the shade Sweet Cream, hoping that it would be a fresh coral shade on my lips.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Sweet Cream

Onto the swatches!

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Sweet Cream

I could not have picked a more perfect coral shade for me! It pairs beautifully with several peachy coral toned blushes in my collection.

*Random information – back in 2015, I only had three blushes in my collection!*

Ok, back to swatching all of my Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipsticks with Sweet Cream.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick Swatches

I’m trying to plan a weekend visit to Toronto – tentatively for mid May. I’m hoping to squeeze in a visit to the Bite Beauty Lip Lab for the Bespoke Lipstick service. I’ve wanted to go there FOREVER. Gotta make it happen!

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!

Empties March 2018

Wednesday, April 4th – Yarok Feed Your Ends Leave-In Conditioner

Friday, April 6th – Sephora Beauty Insider Birthday Gifts 2018

My birthday was on Friday, and most of the day involved me being curled on the couch with a blanket, my Ipad, Kindle and Netflix. I got hit with a terrible chest cold, so instead of going out for a birthday meal as originally planned, we ended up getting sushi to go from my fave little place.

All of the birthday wishes on various social media channels helped lift my spirits, so thank you!

We were supposed to go to Mr. A’s family’s place for a birthday brunch, but decided to postpone as I was still quite ill, and did not want to risk infecting them. So we will be celebrating with them next weekend instead. Surely by then I’ll no longer feel like death warmed over!

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤
