I recently won a giveaway on Instagram from Cat Forsley (My Lip Addiction) and Nuworld Botanicals – it was a huge box of goodies, some of which I’ve tried before as I have received a PR package from Nuworld a few years ago. [info in italics taken from the Nuworld website]

Sports Therapy Mineral-Replenish Body Scrub is unique synergy blend of pure essential oils known to be useful in relieving sore muscles and joints including certified organic Wintergreen, Camphor and Pine.

A sumptuous blend of skin polishing natural dead sea salts and pink himalayan rock salts wrapped in moisturizing organic jojoba, avocado, argan and sweet almond oils. Gently exfoliates, conditions and softens the skin- delivering a healthy replenishment of essential minerals and Vitamins A, C and E. Delicious fruity extracts of watermelon, strawberry and banana help clarify, soothe, and tone the skin while Sports Therapy essential oil blend soothes sore, achy muscles and joints.

I’m a huge lover of body scrubs, and this one is SO GOOD – especially after a workout. It exfoliates, it hydrates and it helps with soreness. And it smells amazing!

The salt based scrub is perfect, not too soft and not too scrubby, gentle yet effective.

Ace Beaute Glimmer Shadow Review (Iced Latte)

Today I have a little review and swatching of another one of the many goodies that I won in Rossy’s (Ayr Galaxy) giveaway awhile back – the Ace Beaute Glimmer Shadow in the shade Iced Latte. [info in italics taken from the Ace Beaute website]

High pigmented soft shadows with a creamy texture specially designed for ultimate color pay-off. These shadows provide bold color in one swipe without fallout, creasing or fading.

Use a shader brush or your finger to apply to the desired area. For a foiled effect, spray brush lightly before picking up shadows

The Glimmer Shadow reminds me of the Colour Pop Super Shock shadows as they have a similar bouncy texture. The Iced Latte shade is a really pretty coppery bronze metallic shade – perfect for holiday looks!

Synthetic brush and / or finger application seems to work best with this type of shadow. I find that some primers make it hard to blend this type of shadow out, so using a setting after applying and blending works to help lock it into place!

I feel that it is slightly too light, and pulls quite pink on my lips since I’m so pale, but if I combine it with a slightly darker nude lip crayon from my stash it makes the perfect shade for me. I do love the formula, it is super creamy and doesn’t dry my lips out.

it’s like being lit from within! bring out your natural glow with this baked powder that has a slightly marbled effect. works on any skin tone and is perfect for adding a subtle shimmer to your face.

This is a really great, budget-friendly, cruelty-free highlighter. I can see this working for a wide range of skintones.

It has a pretty shimmer without being glittery. The above photo shows the highlighter heavily swatched, but it can be blended out for a beautiful, subtle glow!

The Cedar Face Cream is super lightweight and absorbs into the skin quickly. It is highly moisturizing and non-greasy. The scent is woody and fresh, I absolutely love cedarwood essential oil, it smells amazing, without being over-scented.

This works well as either a day or a night cream and plays nicely with makeup. It really does help give the skin a nice glow. I love that it contains minimal ingredients. It is especially great for sensitive skin types!

This heroic elixir uses a natural blend of precious botanical oils that helps to rescue skin in need of relief from inflammation and other sensitivities. Supremely lightweight and contains soothing and calming properties, it also promotes healing and reparation. The Hero oil is always up for a fight.

The Hero dry oil balances and tones normal/oily to blemish prone skin types with a potent blend of Jojoba, Grape Seed, Evening Primrose, and Black Currant seed oils.
