Pacifica Cherry Matte Mattifying Primer Review

Hello, hello!

Today I’m reviewing the Cherry Matte Mattifying Primer from Pacifica that came in my June Petit Vour box. [info in italics taken from the Petit Vour website]

Pacifica Cherry Matte Mattifying Primer

Don’t have a makeup meltdown. This lightweight mattifying primer is a support system for your skin, delivering a blurred focus finish with oil control benefits. So you can keep it together all day (or at least look like you are). For all skin types.

Pacifica Cherry Matte Mattifying Primer

This primer has a very mild cherry scent and absorbs into my skin quickly. I don’t wear full foundation in the summer time, but I found that it works well with concealer and powder. It also makes a nice base for my tinted sunscreen / BB Cream.

I was surprised that this mattifying primer didn’t make my skin feel dry, as most mattifying products tend to work like that on my normal to slightly dry skin. This would probably work really well for combination / oily skin.

The Ordinary High-Spreadability Fluid Primer

Hello, hello!

The Ordinary High-Spreadability Fluid Primer

Today I have a review of one of the many products that I purchased in my recent haul from The Ordinary – the High-Spreadability Fluid Primer. Here’s what it says on the website about the product:

This new generation of primer is a lightweight serum-like formula that increases the spreadability of subsequent complexion makeup to help avoid the unnatural and uneven accumulation of pigments especially around the eyes and on dry skin. The formula also acts as a light, non-oily surface hydrator for a natural dewy look.

Ingredients: Hexamethyldisiloxane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Caprylyl Methicone, PEG-12 Dimethicone/PPG-20 Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Tocopherol.

I chose this primer because I wanted a product that was hydrating and light. I’ve worn it with just concealer / powder, and with foundation / concealer / powder. It is a clear serum type primer, and has that weird slippery silicone feel when first applied. I find that it does smooth the skin and helps keep my makeup from creasing. It definitely gives a dewy finish to my makeup, so if you prefer a matte finish, then this is not the one for you. I really like this one, and the price is amazing at only $7.90 (CAD)!

The Ordinary High-Spreadability Fluid Primer

The product is water free, oil free, alcohol free, vegan and cruelty free.

Next week I’ll be reviewing the highly coveted Serum Foundation, as well as reviewing some of the skincare products from my haul.

Have you tried anything from The Ordinary?

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤
