Empties – August 2018

Hello, hello!

Another month of product empties – I think that I made pretty good progress at finishing things up this past month. Let’s take a look:

Empties August 2018

Briogeo Rosarco Blow Dry Perfection – I don’t blow dry my hair often in the warmer months, and I have a few more hair products in my stash right now, so I don’t need to replace this. Review is here.

Attitude Super Leaves Colour Protection Conditioner – I’m not quite finished the matching shampoo. I will likely repurchase both once I use up another set in my stash. Review is here.

Now Essential Oils in Eucalyptus and Peppermint – Already repurchased!

Zabana Essentials Baking Soda Free Deodorant – This worked for a few hours on my before crapping out. I only used it if I was working from home to give my underarms a break. I’m currently using the Sensitive Formula Deodorant from Native as it has longer staying power for me. Reviews are here and here.

Empties August 2018Ursa Major 4-in-1 Essential Face Wipes – I’m not a facial wipe person, so I was mainly just using these as a preliminary step in cleansing as I just don’t feel that a wipe will get my face super clean. Review is here.

Poetic Blend Ghost Oil – I loved this light facial oil! If I didn’t have a few oils in my stash to use up, I would purchase a full size of this one. Review is here.

Lily de Mai Renew Restorative Calming Cream Cleanser [pr sample] – I’m sad that I finished this cleanser, it was so lovely and gentle. Probably my favourite cleanser for 2018. I’m still working my way through several cleansers in my stash, so I will not be replacing this right now – but it is going to the top of my wishlist! Review is here.

MüN Anarose Hydrating Rose Toner – I love facial mists / toners and have a few in my fridge right now (two or three) so I don’t need to buy a replacement. Review is here.

My two facial powders are STILL GOING! Here’s the wet n wild one:

Hopefully I’ll finish this one up by the end of the year, haha!

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!

Disclosure – Most things purchased by me, all PR samples are identified. My opinion is very much my own.

MUN Anarose Hydrating Rose Toner Review

Hello, hello!

Today I have a review of the MUN Anarose Hydrating Toner that came in my June Petit Vour subscription box. [info in italics taken from the Petit Vour website]

Mun Anarose Hydrating Rose Toner

Hydrate, soften and balance skin’s pH with this Japanese inspired toner.

Mun Anarose Hydrating Rose Toner

Anarose Hydrating Rose Toner offers an essential step to balance the skin’s pH after cleansing. Bulgarian Rosewater instantly soothes even the most sensitive skin while Hyaluronic acid firms and provides long-lasting hydration. Willow Bark Extract contains natural salicylic acid to exfoliate dead cells for a healthy glow and prepares the skin to receive nutrients. Goji Berry Extract helps reduce free radical damage and provides anti-aging benefits. A combination of Rose, Jasmine and Daisy Extracts recreates the velvety sensation of petals on your skin. This toner has a pH range of 4.5-5. Effective for all skin types.

I love hydrating toner mists / facial mists – especially when they are rose based! This is super gentle and soothing on my sensitive skin. And of course, smells glorious!

I like to keep my facial toners / mists in the fridge for refreshing and hydrating my skin on hot days.

The full size is listed at $65 USD on the Petit Vour site – the bottle is 3.38 oz / 100 ml.

Petit Vour Unboxing & First Impressions June 2018

Hello, hello!

Sorry for not posting yesterday – it was a holiday here in Quebec, and I’m still in the process of either testing things out, or waiting for things to arrive in the mail.

My June Petit Vour box arrived a little later than usual this month (it only arrived today actually), so this is just a quick unboxing with full reviews to follow once I’ve had a chance to try everything out.

Petit Vour is a cruelty-free and vegan monthly subscription box with four (occasionally five) products. The subscription is $18 USD a month in the U.S., $23 USD for Canada, and $25 USD for the rest of the world. With the exchange rate (1.3291) my box cost me $30.57 CAD this month

Let’s take a look inside to see what I got this month. As always the box includes a beautiful informational card with a different watercolour print each month. [info in italics taken from Petit Vour].

Petit Vour June 2018

Juice Beauty Green Apple Cleansing Bar ($3 USD – full size $12 USD)

Renew, revitalize and soften your skin with this cleansing bar formulated with organic, extra virgin, cold-pressed olive oil, coconut oil, and a blend of apple, lemon and aloe juices. Infused with bright citrus notes to leave skin refreshed and glowing.

I’ve really liked all Juice Beauty skincare products that I’ve tried so far, and this soap smells really good! I have high hopes for this one!

MUN Anarose Hydrating Rose Toner ($7 USD – full size $65 USD)

Hydrate, soften and balance skin’s pH with this Japanese inspired toner.

I love rose based skincare products and this one sounds lovely.

Petit Vour June 2018

Vert Mont Perfumery Cyrene ($5 USD – full size $35 USD)

CYRENA. Mischievous Mermaid, Sovereign Queen, or Princess? Embrace your inner riches & shine with this roll-on fragrance. Gardenia & Magnolia Grandiflorum open to Tonka Glazed Green Cacao, finishing with Labdanum Amber.

This sounds like my kind of scent – I love florals and amber together.

Goldfaden MD Facial Detox Mask ($20 USD – full size $65 USD)

Dr. Goldfaden’s purifying mask works to draw out dirt and pore clogging debris to reveal skin that looks clear and appears flawless. Developed to use as an overall facial mask, this powerhouse formula works to unveil a clearer-looking, radiant, even-toned complexion.

Sounds great, can’t wait to test it out after my usual patch test!

Clove + Hallow Lip Glaze in Candied Harts ($15 USD)

Formulated with natural olive oil, jojoba oil, and shea butter, the Lip Glaze offers inspired color and a dazzling finish without stickiness.

Really hoping that this is not going to be sticky, and that the shade suits me. I’ll be testing this out right away!

Petit Vour June 2018

Total value of this month’s box = $50 USD ($66.45 CAD). Overall my first impression is that this month’s box is a really good one. Reviews to follow as soon as I test everything out.
