September 2017 Empties

Hello, hello!

Today I have my monthly empties – I’m pretty happy with the amount that I managed to finish this month. Some are sample-sized and some are full sized.

Sept 2017 Empties

Briogeo Curl Charisma (leave in defining creme sample size) – I have a full size of this already and love it. The original review is here.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer (sample size) – I think that I got this either from Ipsy or from Sephora. I really liked this moisturizer, it is light and hydrating. I’ve never reviewed this one.

Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector (full size) – I already repurchased this, I use it daily and it helps hide my dark circles. The original review is here.

Sept 2017 Empties

Schmidt’s Deodorant Lavender Tips Sensitive Skin Formula (full size) – I love this natural deodorant. It is baking soda free so it doesn’t trigger a reaction. I’m using up a few deodorants right now, but plan on repurchasing this one. Review is here.

Biokem Purifying Shampoo with Grapefruit Seed (full size, PR sample) – This was a great clarifying shampoo, it lathered well and smelled amazing. If I could buy this locally, I would repurchase. Review is here.

Sept 2017 Empties

Ingenium Naturals Sensi-Net Exfoliate (full size / PR sample) – I really liked this facial scrub, it worked well for my sensitive skin. I have a few scrubs to use up, so I won’t be purchasing a new one for awhile. Review is here.

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Daily Defense Cream SPF17 (full size / PR sample) – I love the sunscreens from MyChelle Dermaceuticals! I still have a few more sunscreens from MyChelle in my stash so I don’t need to repurchase yet. Review is here.

NuWorld Botanicals Sun-Kissed Skin Facial Oil (full size / PR sample) – This is a beautiful facial oil, but I have several to use up in my stash, so I won’t be purchasing a replacement right now. Review is here.

Sept 2017 Empties

Pur-Lisse Blue Lotus Eye Serum (sample size) – I got this in the loot bag from the 2016 Ipsy Genereation Beauty Event. This was a nice eye cream, but I have a few in my stash to use up, so I won’t be purchasing a full size of this. Review is here.

Herbivore Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask (sample size) – I absolutely loved this mask! It is on my list to purchase once I finish up a few more masks in my stash. Review is here.

Ren Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask (sample size) – Another mask that I really love. It works similar to the Herbivore one for my skin. Review is here.

There you have it! All the stuff I’ve managed to use up this month. Did you finish up much? Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!

Disclosure: This post contains some PR samples – all are identified.

Empties March 2017

Hello, hello!

I think that I’m making pretty decent progress in using up items in my stash. I’ve also continued to go through all of my old lipsticks to test if any of them have gone off or dried out and culled them from my collection.

Empties Mar 2017

First up, skincare empties:

Empties Mar 2017 - skincare

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Creamy Pumpkin Cleanser* – Originally reviewed here. I absolutely love this cleanser, it was so perfect for winter, as it made my skin feel super clean without any dryness or tightness. This is on my to-buy for fall wishlist, I am currently testing out something new for spring / summer.

Kate Somerville EradiKate – Originally reviewed here. I’m kind of mad at myself for forgetting to replace this one when I made my mini birthday haul from Sephora! I don’t breakout very often, just an occasional hormonal or stress related one but this one really works for my sensitive skin!

Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner – Originally reviewed here. This is on my to-buy wishlist for summer. I’m currently finishing up another facial mist in my stash. This is my second or third bottle that I’ve used up!

Sukin Purifying Facial Masque – Originally reviewed here. This is on my to-buy wishlist as soon as I clear up a few more facial masks in my stash. This and the Consonant DHE Mask are top two clay based facial masks.

Symphony Beauty Snow Cream Moisturizer – This was an Ipsy GlamBag item. It is too highly scented for me to use on my face, so I used it up on my feet. I will not purchase this one.

Cougar Beauty Hyaluronic Acid Facial Oil* – Originally reviewed here. I liked this  facial oil, but used it up really quickly due to its very watery consistency. Would I purchase? Probably not, because I have so many hyaluronic acid based products on my to-try wishlist.

Empties March 2017 - makeup

Milani Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment – Originally reviewed here. I really loved this when I first got it, but near the end, the consistency changed and it got sticky. I won’t be re-buying this one.

Concrete Minerals Electric Eye Primer – I don’t think that I’ve reviewed this primer, but I’ve had it since before I started blogging two years ago. It is one of my favourites as it is a great primer for loose shadows and pigments. Will I re-buy? Maybe, once I’ve used up a few more eye primers in my stash.

Brazen Cosmetics Goodbye to You: Light – Originally reviewed way back when I first started blogging in March 2015! The Brazen Cosmetics website is no longer there, so I don’t know if the company is gone or just on hiatus so I don’t think that I can replace it. This was a great banana type powder for setting the under eye.

Empties Mar 2017 - old lipsticks

I’ve continued to go through my lipstick collection, and culled a few more because they failed the tests for scent (does it smell rancid or like palydough), texture (has it dried out or melted) and / or discoloration (visible colour changes, or that weird almost fuzz look).

ColouPop Ultra Metallic Liquid Lipstick in Kween – this one isn’t all that old. Original review is here. This is my only disappointing liquid lipstick from ColourPop. It was dry and patchy when I first got it, and it is even drier now. Will I re-buy? Not this shade, and probably not any of the Ultra Metallics, but yes, I will buy other lipsticks from ColourPop.

Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks in Shame, Manic and Jilted – These are OLD, I never did review them, but they were my fave lipsticks from they time that they were launched!  Shame was dried out, but still smelled ok. Manic turned weird looking, almost fuzzy like F-Bomb from last month’s empties, and was starting to dry out, and Jilted was starting to discolour, and dry out. The Revolution Lipstick line has been discontinued, but these three were re-launched in the Vice Lipstick line. Re-buy? I will probably go test out and swatch the new Vice Lipsticks to see if I would purchase Manic and Jilted.

Annabelle TwistUp Retractable Lipstick Crayon in Kinky Pink and Royale – These are fairly old as well, but they still make this lipstick format, and both shades are still listed. Repurchase? Maybe. I’ll go take a look at some of the new shades since they were comfortable and long wearing.

Do you go through your lipstick collection to check to see if they are still good?

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤

Disclosure: Everything purchased by me, except for items marked with an *. Please see original reviews for details.

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Canadian Spring Launches Part 3 – Perfect C Pro Serum 25%

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Perfect C PRO Serum 25%

Hello, hello!

Happy International Women’s Day!

Today I’m reviewing the final product that I received in my surprise package from MyChelle Dermaceuticals (Click for Parts 1 and 2) of new products launching in Canada at Murale stores and BeautyBoutique (online) – the Perfect C PRO Serum 25% ($52 USD / $65 CAD). I tried and reviewed their Perfect C 17% Serum in the fall.

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Perfect C PRO Serum 25%

Product description from the MyChelle website:

A professional-level, concentrated Vitamin C formula to effectively brighten the complexion and provide powerful antioxidant/antipollution/anti-aging benefits. Formulated with the highest, active level of stable 25% L-Ascorbic Acid to improve skin texture and reduce the visible signs of aging. Plant C-Stem™ and Ubiquinone (CoQ10) help protect stressed skin for a more luminous complexion. Recommended to help renew and revitalize mature or damaged skin, or for those who are already using a Vitamin C regimen.

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Perfect C PRO Serum 25%

I have to say WOW, about this one! I like it even better than the original Perfect C 17% serum. This one doesn’t have that weird scent that all C based serums seem to have. I’ve been using it at night for several weeks now, and my skin is looking so much brighter! I find that in the winter, my skin starts looking a little dull, so this is perfect!

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Ascorbic Acid (L), Sodium Bicarbonate, Pentylene Glycol, Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate, Phenoxyethanol, Phaseolus Radiatus Meristem Cell Culture Extract, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Lipids, Wine Extract, Glucosamine HCI (D), Astaxanthin, Beta-Carotene (D), Ergothioneine (L), Fructooligosaccharides (D-beta), Ubiquinone (CoQ10), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Tocopherol (D-alpha), Citrus Reticulata (Tangerine) Peel Oil, Glycerin, Sclerotium Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Alcohol, Alcohol Denat., Benzyl Alcohol, Polysorbate 20, Potassium Sorbate

Have you tried the Perfect C PRO 25% Serum? What is your fave C based serum?

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤

Disclosure: PR Sample, however my opinion is my own, based on my experience in using this product.

Weekly Re-cap (Feb 27th to Mar 5th)

Hello, hello!

Just a little re-cap of the week’s blog posts in case you’ve missed out on anything!

Tuesday, Feb 28th – MyChelle Dermaceuticals Canadian Spring Launch Part 1

Thursday, March 2nd – MyChelle Dermaceuticals Canadian Spring Launch Part 2

What else? I got three inches cut off of my hair on Friday at Coifferie Paradiso. My hair is still pretty long – it is now just above my bra strap. It feels great to have freshly cut hair!

I stubbed my toe on Friday after getting home from my haircut, and sadly, it seems to be broken. OW! Just my luck. It isn’t the first time I’ve broken a toe.

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Canadian Spring Launches Part 2

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Canadian Spring Launch

Hello, hello!

mychelle-2

In Tuesday’s blog post (Part 1), I told you all about the surprise package arrived at my doorstep recently filled with a bunch of goodies from Mychelle Dermaceuticals that are launching in March here in Canada at Murale stores and online at Beauty Boutique. A HUGE THANK YOU to Maggie / MyChelle Dermaceuticals for this lovely surprise!

In the fall I had tested and reviewed a bunch of their skincare (and loved it) when they first launched into the Canadian market (reviews are here and here).

Today I have another two sun protection products to review – the Sun Shield SPF28, and the Replenishing Solar Defense SPF30.

Sun Shield SPF28, $26 CAD

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Canadian Spring Launch

This one is formulated for normal skin. Here’s what it says on the website:

Sun Shield Unscented SPF 28 is an environmentally safe, unscented, full spectrum UVA/UVB sun defense that offers powerfully effective protection for face and body. Translucent Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide provide a safe alternative to harsh chemical sunscreens. The addition of soothing Aloe and a high-performance blend of antioxidants, including Vitamin E, helps boost skin’s natural defense system and reduce the signs of sun-induced irritation. The lightweight formula absorbs quickly for a smooth, clear, and matte finish. Gentle enough for infants and non-irritating to eyes…

This one dries to a matte finish, kind of like a primer. It feels a little heavier on my skin than the SPF17 one that I’ve already reviewed. I think that it might be that this one contains Titanium Dioxide and the other one does not. Despite feeling a little heavier, it works really well with my foundation and concealer. It has a nice mix of skin friendly extras, so it is like a combination moisturizer / sunscreen / primer.

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Canadian Spring Launch

Active Ingredients: Zinc Oxide 11.6% (ZinClear™), Titanium Dioxide .67% Inactive Ingredients: 1,2-Hexanediol, Allantoin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Alumina, Aqua (Water), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Caprylyl Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Citric Acid, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Dicaprylyl Ether, Fructooligosaccharides (D-beta), Gluconolactone, Glycerin, Glyceryl Isostearate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Isononyl Isononanoate, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Polyglyceryl-6 Polyricinoleate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Polysorbate 60, Populus Tremuloides Bark Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Simethicone, Squalane, Tocopheryl Acetate (D-alpha), Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Tropolone, Xanthan Gum

Replenishing Solar Defense SPF30, $35 CAD

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Canadian Spring Launch

This one is an anti-aging formula. Here’s what is says on the website:

Replenishing Solar Defense SPF 30 is formulated with Zinc Oxide to provide clear, mineral-based UVA and UVB protection and prevent premature aging and hyperpigmentation. Red Algae Extract and nourishing, hydrating Kukui and Macadamia Nut oils blend to restore moisture balance and reduce visible lines. A Titanium Dioxide-free option.

This one is really nice on my skin. I prefer this one over the SPF28, as it feels lighter, yet more hydrating without feeling greasy. It plays nicely with foundation, concealer and powder like both the SPF17 and SPF28 formulations. It too feels like a primer when applied, but not as matte as the SPF28.

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Canadian Spring Launch

Active Ingredient: Zinc Oxide (ZinClear™) 13.5% Inactive Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Candelilla/Jojoba/Rice Bran, Polyglyceryl-3 Esters, Glycerin, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Ethyl Macadamiate, Aleurites Moluccana Seed Oil, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Glyceryl Stearate, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Ergothioneine (L), Hordeum Distichon (Barley) Extract, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Porphyra Umbilicalis (Red Algae) Extract, Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Extract, Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract, Glyceryl Isostearate, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Polyglyceryl-10 Pentastearate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate (D-alpha), Tocopherol (D-alpha), Lecithin, Malic Acid (L), Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides, Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behenyl Alcohol, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Sodium Lactate, Phytic Acid, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide

Part 3 is still to come with a review of the new Perfect C PRO Serum 25%!

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤

Disclosure: In case you missed it at the beginning, these are PR samples. However my opinion is my own, based on my experience in using the products.

Mychelle Dermaceuticals – Canadian Spring Launches Part 1

Hello, hello!

Mychelle Dermaceuticals Spring

A surprise package arrived at my doorstep recently filled with a bunch of goodies from Mychelle Dermaceuticals that are launching in March here in Canada at Murale stores and online at Beauty Boutique. A HUGE THANK YOU to Maggie / MyChelle Dermaceuticals for this lovely surprise!

If you remember, I had tested and reviewed a bunch of their skincare (and loved it) when they first launched into the Canadian market (reviews are here and here).

Mychelle Dermaceuticals Spring

I was not expecting this package, so I was super excited to find that it was filled with SPF based products, and a new C serum!

As I’ve said before, I have sensitive skin, I’m fairly pale, I burn easily and barely tan, so SPF is essential for me! But because I have sensitive skin, I can’t just use any sunscreen, as a lot of them irritate my skin – even the ones formulated for babies!

Mychelle Dermaceuticals Spring

Today I’ll be reviewing two of the products – the Daily Defense Cream SPF 17, and the Sun Shield Clear Stick SPF 50.

Daily Defense Cream SPF 17: $32 CAD

Mychelle Dermaceuticals Spring

Daily Defense Cream combines all-day, moisture-quenching hydration and nourishing bioactives, including Astaxanthin, with Zinc Oxide to protect against free radicals and help prevent premature aging in one, easy step.

This is a great light, non-greasy moisturizer. It doesn’t have a white cast like a lot of physical sunscreens. It even works well with makeup and it doesn’t make my skin feel greasy.

Mychelle Dermaceuticals Spring

Active ingredient: Zinc Oxide 7%  Inactive Ingredients: 1,2-Hexanediol, Alcohol Denat., Aqua (Water), Astaxanthin, Beta-Glucan (D), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Caprylyl Glycol, Cetearyl Olivate, Citric Acid, Cyclopentasiloxane, Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Oil, Gluconolactone, Glycerin, Glyceryl Isostearate, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Phytic Acid, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Populus Tremuloides Bark Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Sorbitan Olivate, Squalane, Tetrahydrobisdemethoxydiferuloylmethane, Tetrahydrodemethoxydiferuloylmethane, Tetrahydrodiferuloylmethane, Tocopherol (D-alpha), Tocopheryl Acetate (D-alpha), Tocotrienols, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil, Tropolone, Xanthan Gum

Sun Shield Clear Stick SPF 50: $16.50 CAD

Mychelle Dermaceuticals Spring

Sun Shield Clear Stick SPF 50 is a mineral-based, water-resistant sunscreen that glides on smoothly and dries clear to deliver powerful UVA and UVB full-spectrum protection. Zinc Oxide provides a safe alternative to harsh chemical sunscreens. The addition of Avocado, Jojoba, and Vitamin E Oils help moisturize and protect, and Cocoa Seed Butter soothes skin and supports elasticity. Perfect for on the go.

This is going to be a staple in my bag – for when I forget to wear sunscreen, or for touch ups. It is super smooth and applies clear instead of with that dreaded white cast that most physical sunscreens have. The fact that it is water resistant is also a plus!

Mychelle Dermaceuticals Spring

Active Ingredients:  Zinc Oxide 17%
Inactive Ingredients: Beeswax, Bisabolol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Calophyllum Tacamahaca Seed Oil, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Jojoba Esters, Octyldodecyl Olivate, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Oryzanol, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Tocopherol

 Have you tried these sunscreens?
Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤

MyChelle Dermaceuticals – Part Two

MyChelle Dermaceuticals

Hello, hello!

As you all probably know, I absolutely love skincare products. So when I saw on twitter that MyChelle Dermaceuticals was looking for Canadian Beauty Bloggers, I knew that I wanted to work with them as their products are based on Clean Science (vegetarian, cruelty free, recyclable, and free of phthlates, parabens, sulfates, ureas, artificial fragrances and colours, petroleum, GMOs and gluten).

I was super excited to find out that they are expanding into the Canadian market, starting with four products from their line at select Murale stores (owned by Shopper’s Drug Mart / Pharmaprix). The first four products being launched are the Refining Sugar Cleanser, Remarkable Retinal Serum, Perfect C Serum and the Supreme Polypeptide Cream – out of which I received three (the cleanser and two serums). I also received  four other products from their line to test and review.

Today is part two of my MyChelle Dermaceuticals reviews. Part one is here.

Creamy Pumpkin Cleanser (4.2oz / 124ml, msrp $20 CAD / $16 USD)

Gently wash away surface impurities while rehydrating and restoring skin’s moisture balance. Essential Vitamins and exfoliating enzymes from Pumpkin and Honey help to revitalize skin.

This is a beautiful and gentle creamy cleanser. Since the weather is finally starting to cool down, this will help prevent my skin from drying out. I prefer creamy cleansers for this time of year, and this one works really well for my sensitive skin.

MyChelle Dermaceuticals

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Behenyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dicaprylyl Ether, Sucrose Stearate, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Powder, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Honey (Mel), Astaxanthin, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Seed Cell Culture Extract, Lactobacillus Ferment, Aphanizomenon Flos-Aquae Powder, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Cinnamomum Cassia (Cinnamon) Leaf Oil, Myristica Fragrans (Nutmeg) Kernel Oil, Vanillin, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Xanthan Gum, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Alcohol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Polysorbate 20, Phenoxyethanol, O-cymen-5-OL

Remarkable Retinal Serum (1oz / 30 ml, msrp $60 CAD / $47.50 USD)

Advanced serum with exclusive and patented IconicA® (Retinal)—the most potent form of Vitamin A—plus Ceramide 3 and Orange Plant Stem Cells to promote healthy skin renewal, help diminish skin discoloration (dark spots and blemishes), and minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Most retinol-based serums irritate my sensitive skin, and I’m not able to use them daily, but I was able to use this one every evening without any irritation or dryness. The pump packaging is similar to the Perfect C Serum, so all you need is one pump to cover your entire face.

MyChelle Dermaceuticals

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Gluconolactone, Retinal (Retinaldehyde), Rubus Chamaemorus (Cloud Berry) Seed Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Callus Culture Extract, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemongrass) Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Tocopherol (D-alpha), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Allantoin, Ceramide 3, Pentylene Glycol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cyclodextrin, Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate, Xanthan Gum, Phytic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract

Apple Brightening Cream (1.2oz / 35ml, msrp $35 USD)

A silky lightweight cream with Apple Plant Stem Cells and Daisy Flower Extract to improve skin’s luminescence and radiance, and help reduce the appearance of dark spots. Rich in anti-pollution Antioxidants to protect and nourish the skin for a continuous healthier glow.

I’ve been using this cream at night, and my skin looks great when I wake up in the morning. I love products that help to keep the skin looking radiant!

MyChelle Dermaceuticals

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Olivate, Glycerin, Sorbitan, Olivate, Bellis Perennis (Daisy) Flower Extract, Lactic Acid (L), Polysorbate 20, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Squalane, Ascorbic Acid (L), Malus Domestica (Apple) Fruit Cell Culture Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Oil, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Citrus Sinensis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Citrus Paradisi (White Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract, Tocopherol (D-alpha), Tocotrienols, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Oil, Pancratium Maritimum Extract, Lecithin, Gluconolactone, Caprylyl Glycol, Potassium Sorbate, Ethyl Macadamiate, Teprenone, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Hydroxide, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Phenethyl Alcohol, Alcohol, Fragrance/Parfum (Natural)

Incredible Pumpkin Peel (1.2oz / 35ml, $35 CAD / $28 USD)

Powerful blend of Pumpkin puree and extracts naturally exfoliate dead skin cells to help clear away impurities, while fruit extracts encourage renewal for a more revived, luminous complexion.

On the package it says that slight tingling may occur. It always makes me nervous to try peeling products, so I did a patch test on my wrist before testing it on my face. I only experienced minimal tingling which went away within approximately 30 seconds of applying. After using, my skin absolutely glows!

MyChelle Dermaceuticals

Ingredients: Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin), Aqua (Water), Lactobacillus/Pumpkin Ferment Extract, Glycerin, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Wine, Honey (Mel), Gluconic Acid (Glucose), Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Oil, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Stem Powder, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Myristica Fragrance/Parfums (Nutmeg) Kernel Oil, Cinnamomum Cassia (Cinnamon) Leaf Oil, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Oil, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Alcohol, Potassium Sorbate, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Aminoguanidine HCL, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract

I really loved everything that I tried from MyChelle Dermaceuticals. I’m looking forward to their entry into the Canadian market.

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤

Disclosure: I received these products in exchange for an honest review. my opinion is my own, based on my experience with these products.

MyChelle Dermaceuticals Review (Part 1)

MyChelle Dermaceuticals

Hello, hello!

As you all probably know, I absolutely love skincare products. So when I saw on twitter that MyChelle Dermaceuticals was looking for Canadian Beauty Bloggers, I knew that I wanted to work with them as their products are based on Clean Science (vegetarian, cruelty free, recyclable, and free of phthlates, parabens, sulfates, ureas, artificial fragrances and colours, petroleum, GMOs and gluten).

The first four products being launched are the Refining Sugar Cleanser, Remarkable Retinal Serum, Perfect C Serum and the Supreme Polypeptide Cream – out of which I received three (the cleanser and two serums). I also received  four other products from their line to test and review.

Today I’m reviewing three products, and will be reviewing the remaining four tomorrow.

Before getting to the individual product reviews, I want to talk about the packaging. Each product type (cleanser, serum, moisturizer) is colour coded. And contains product information on the sides of the box – Clean Science information, ingredients, product information, and usage instructions.

Refining Sugar Cleanser (3.5oz / 104ml, msrp $32 CAD / $25 USD)

Natural sugar and intoxicating Vanilla-infused cleanser that gently exfoliates surface impurities as it transforms into a creamy, foaming lather—leaving skin radiant and refined. Boosted with anti-aging Matrixyl® Synthe’6™ Peptide, bioactive Plant Extracts, and Hyaluronic Acid to help keep skin hydrated.

I really love this scrub, it is gentle and turns creamy as the sugar dissolves. It has a mild sweet scent of vanilla with a hint of something that smells bright to my nose. It might be the honeysuckle, I’m not sure. My skin feels so soft and smooth after using this one. By adjusting the amount of water you use, you can tailor the amount of exfoliation.

MyChelle Dermaceuticals

Ingredients: Sucrose, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Canola Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Silica, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Vanillin, Zeolite, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, Crocus Chrysanthus Bulb Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate (L), Sodium Polyglutamate, Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Acacia Senegal Gum, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Alcohol, Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract

Perfect C Serum 17% (0.5 oz / 15ml, msrp $56 CAD / $44 USD)

Advanced multi-tasking Vitamin C formula reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. A high active level of 17% L-Ascorbic Acid, the only effective anti-aging form of Vitamin C, and Buddleja Plant Stem Cells brighten, protect against photo-damage, and combat the visible signs of aging.

First of all, I love the pump packaging, one pump will give enough to cover the entire face. It smells better than most Vitamin C serums, due to the inclusion of essential oils (tangerine, lavender, pink grapefruit). I love Vitamin C serums, and this one is my favourite one that I’ve tried thus far!

MyChelle Dermaceuticals

Ingredients: Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Ascorbic Acid (L), Alcohol, Glycerin, Aqua (Water), Polyglyceryl-4 Caprate, Ergothioneine (L), Buddleja Davidii Meristem Cell Culture, Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) Fruit Lipids, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Peel Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Paradisi (Pink Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Oil, Fructooligosaccharides (D-beta), Beta-Carotene (D), Glucosamine HCI (D), Wine Extract, Astaxanthin, Tocotrienols, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Tocopherol (D-alpha), Ubiquinone (CoQ10), Benzyl Alcohol, Xanthan Gum

Pumpkin Renew Cream (1.2 oz / 35ml, msrp $35 CAD / $28 USD)

An essential lightweight daily moisturizer with antioxidant-rich Pumpkin Seed Oil and Cloudberry Extract to protect and nourish skin. Astaxanthin, Shea Butter, and Vitamin E prevent dehydration, and replenish and balance skin’s moisture levels.

One of my favorite body butters is made with pumpkin seed oil, so I was excited to see that I received a pumpkin facial cream. It is super hydrating without being heavy or greasy on my skin. My skin stays moisturized all day. Love this one!
