Goldfaden MD Bright Eyes Eye Cream Review

Hello, hello!

Today I’m reviewing the Bright Eyes Eye Cream from Goldfaden MD that arrived as a replacement for the defective one that was in my October Petit Vour box. I only received it with my December box and have been testing it out for three weeks now. [info in italics taken from the Petit Vour website]

Goldfaden MD Bright Eyes

Dr. Goldfaden’s advanced, ultra-light brightening eye cream reduces the appearance of under eye darkness, puffiness, and fine lines for a more luminous and youthful glow.

Soy Peptide, Rice Bran Extract, Organic Red Tea, and Arnica work together to deliver de-puffing and brightening properties while ensuring the eye area has a luminous and youthful-looking appearance. Perfect for all skin types.

  • Visibly brightens eye area
  • Reduces the appearance of under eye puffiness and fatigue
  • May minimize the appearance of unwanted lines

Goldfaden MD Bright Eyes

I love products with brightening properties – and since I am prone to puffiness and dark circles due to allergies and occasional insomnia I was excited to try this one out.

Goldfaden MD Bright Eyes

It does help to brighten the undereye and help deal with puffiness, and because it hydrates really well, it does help to minimize fine lines. I don’t think that anything can fully resolve dark circles other than a cure for sinus allergies and insomnia (just my opinion).

It is very lightweight and quick to absorb into the undereye area. And it plays nicely with my undereye concealer.

Because you only need to use such a small amount, these two samples will likely last me a long time!

Ingredients 100% Cruelty-Free and Vegan | Water, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Candelilla/Jojoba/Rice Bran Polyglyceryl-3 Esters, Glyceryl Stearate, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Squalane, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Xanthan Gum, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Protein, Hydrolyzed Rice Protein, Superoxide Dismutase, Chon-drus Crispus (Seaweed) Extract, Mica, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Tocopherol, Glyceryl Caprylate, Cellulose Gum, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Aspalathus Linearis (Red Tea) Leaf Extract.

Lowen’s Natural Skincare Reviews Part 5 – In Yo Face! Natural BB Cream

Hello, hello!

Lowen's Natural Skincare

Today I’m continuing with my final review of a  product that came in my awesome PR package from Canadian company Lowen’s Natural Skincare (Parts 1, 2, 3 and 4). Today’s review is on the In Yo Face! Natural BB Cream [info in italics taken from the Lowen’s website]

Lowen's Natural Skincare In Yo Face! Natural Vegan BB Cream

In Yo Face! Natural Vegan BB Cream – Based on the fundamental success of the RIIWDY hand and body lotion (minus the beeswax) In Yo Face! our Vegan BB Cream contains active concentrations of Omega fatty acids (essential acids 3 and 6), Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Niacin (Vitamin B3), Lipoic Acid (Thioctic acid), Vitamin E (Tocopherol), Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Palmitate), Hyaluronic Acid (AKA Hyaluron) and a little Zinc Oxide for a little daytime protection from ‘ole Sol.

lowen's in yo face1

This is not a tinted BB cream. The In Yo Face! Natural Vegan BB Cream is a little on the thick side, similar to a lot of physical / mineral sunscreens – likely due to the Zinc Oxide in its formulation. And yay, it offers some sun protection because of this!

It soaks into the skin fairly quickly and works well to hydrate without being heavy or greasy feeling. I was fairly surprised because usually creams that feel like this tend to take a little longer to absorb into the skin. It works well for my sensitive, normal to dry skin.

Lowen's Natural Skincare In Yo Face! Natural Vegan BB Cream

The IYF! Natural Vegan BB Cream works well as a makeup primer too! I’ve worn it with both minimal makeup (concealer and powder) and with full makeup and it gives my skin a smooth base for makeup.

It contains loads of skin friendly ingredients and the only scent is of what it is made of – which I really like.

Ingredients: Aqua, Cetyl Alcohol, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Zinc Oxide (nano), Glycerin, Canola Oil, Camelina Sativa Seed Oil, Polysorbate 80, Lecithin, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Butter, Panthenol, Niacinamide, Thiotic Acid, Tocopherol, Phenoxyethanol, Xanthan Gum, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Rosemary Officinalis Leaf Oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hyaluronic Acid

Have you tried this BB cream? Do you have a fave BB cream?

Lowen’s Natural Skincare Reviews Part 4 – The Lip Balms

Lowen's Natural Skincare - The Lip Balms

Hello, hello!

Lowen's Natural Skincare

Today I’m continuing with my reviews of some of the products that came in my awesome PR package from Canadian company Lowen’s Natural Skincare (Parts 1, 2, and 3 are here). Today’s reviews are of the Lip Balms [info in italics taken from the Lowen’s Natural Skincare website]

The story behind all of Lowen’s Lip Balms can be found in a failed experiment.  In the early days when I was trying to create a natural, incredible effective and locally sourced diaper balm for our daughter Lowen, I accidentally came up with the lip balm formula. You see, after a boat load of experimentation and failed formulations, I finally thought I had created an amazing diaper balm! Not so…when my wife applied it to her hand and placed it under the tap, it didn’t do a great job repelling the water.  It actually “took on” water, which isn’t desirable when you are trying to protect baby’s bottom from dirty diaper nastiness.

Anyhow, I felt pretty defeated and my better half recognized this.  Later that same night after finishing up a late feeding with Lowen, my wife’s lips were really bothering her. Being half-asleep and not wanting to search in the dark for “lip chap,”  she decided to repurpose my failed formula, that happened to be sitting by the change table, as a lip balm. In the morning, I learned that, by accident, I had created “the most amazing lip balms she’s tried!”

Lowen's Natural Skincare - The Lip Balms

Lowen’s currently has 17 lip balm flavours on the website, and I received 6 of them: Be Local (made with local honey), Classic Lime Margarita (lime and tequila), Creamsicle (orange and vanilla), Funky Cold Camelina (their first unflavoured lip balm made with local camelina oil), Lime in da Coconut (lime and coconut oil) and It’s Mint Tea, Honey (mint & honey).

So far I’ve tried out Funky Cold Camelina, Creamsicle and It’s Mint Tea, Honey – all are incredibly creamy and hydrating and not at all waxy.

Funky Cold Camelina:

Lowen's Natural Skincare - Funky Cold Camelina Lip Balm

Funky Cold Camelina Lip Balm (formerly known as Cool Camelina) was our first unflavored lip balm made with the goodness of Three Farmer’s Camelina Oil.  For those of you that are not in the know, Camelina is an “ancient”grain (AKA – Gold of Pleasure) that used to be used as an oilseed in Europe in the oldtimey days. […] What is great about camelina oil is that it is very stable to high (and low, as in freezing) temperatures and is abundant in unsaturated fatty acids (see essential fatty acids).  So, it’s great for your lips and the rest of your skin, which is why we use it in so many of our products!

I’ve never heard of camelina before – it is an interesting ingredient. Although this is supposed to be an unflavoured lip balm, it does have a hint of flavour.

Ingredients: Beeswax, Cetyl Alcohol, Menthol, Camelina Sativa Seed Oil, Rosemary Oil, Safflower Oleosomes, Vegetable Glycerin, Vegetable Hyaluronic Acid, Certified Organic Fair Trade Shea Butter.

Similar to the other Lowen’s products that I’ve already reviewed, the ingredient list is short and easy to understand – no weird or hard to identify ingredients.

Let’s a a closer look at Creamsicle:

Lowen's Natural Skincare - Creamsicle Lip Balm

Inspired one of our favorite summertime treats.  While they now come in a variety of flavours, there really is only one real flavour and that’s the orange creamsicle. To achieve this unique taste, like everything we do…we do is differently.  This time we’ve combined blood orange essential oil with a little vanilla essential oil to impart the “ice cream” effect.

This one smells dreamy. And in my opinion, better than a creamsicle!

Ingredients: Beeswax, Cetyl Alcohol, Menthol, Certified Organic Cold pressed Non-GMO Canola Oil, Rosemary Oil, Safflower Oleosomes, Vegetable Glycerin, Vegetable Hyaluronic Acid, Certified Organic, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Citrus sinensis (Blood Orange) Essential Oil, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract.

The ingredient list is a little different than Funky Cold Camelina, but again, no mystery ingredients.

It’s Mint Tea, Honey is not listed on the website as I believe that it is a lip balm flavour that was made for exclusively for the Fairmont Palliser Hotel.

Lowen's Natural Skincare It's Mint Tea, Honey Lip Balm

This one is sweet minty goodness. Oh my!

Ingredients: Beeswax, Canola Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Carthamus Tinctorus (Safflower) Oleosomes, Honey, Butyrospermum Parki (Shea) Butter, Menthol, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Mentha Piperita Extract, Hyaluronic Acid

I haven’t tried out the rest because I don’t want them all open at the same time, but I am sure that they are all going to be awesome as their ingredient lists are fairly similar. The only one that I might not like is Lime in Da Coconut depending on if it has an obvious coconut scent or not (if you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you will be familiar with my aversion to coconut scents).

I’m a happy lip balm addict!

Lowen’s Natural Skincare Reviews Part 3 – The All Purpose Balms

Lowen's Natural Skincare Super Salve, Make Room and Vegan Vapor Rub

Hello, hello!

Lowen's Natural Skincare

Today I’m continuing with my reviews of some of the products that came in my awesome PR package from Canadian company Lowen’s Natural Skincare (Here’s the links for parts 1, and 2). Today’s reviews are of three of their All Purpose Balms – Super Salve, Make Room Stretch Mark & Scar Balm, and Vegan Vapor Rub  [info in italics taken from the Lowen’s Natural Skincare website]

First up, Super Salve (all purpose balm):

Lowen's Natural Skincare Super Salve

Super Salve – All Purpose Skin Solution – Lowen’s Super Salve is essentially our Butter Balm but in a pocket sized format.  Just like its larger sibling, our Super Salve is is completely free of petrochemicals, artificial preservatives, colorants or scenting agents. Super salve serves as excellent barrier to irritants as well as being a very effective skin conditioner which means it is great for lips, cuticles, knuckles, heels, tattoos, rashes, chafing and more and small enough to take with you anywhere.  We suggest you don’t go anywhere without this crucial skincare item.

Lowen's Natural Skincare Super Salve

This stuff is awesome! I had a terrible cold over the holidays, and this helped heal my dry, red, irritated nose! I’ve also taken to using it as a cuticle balm since my hands get so dry in the winter.

Ingredients: Beeswax (Calgary, AB), Fair Trade Cold Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil (Philippines), Cold Pressed Non-GMO Camelina Oil (High River, AB), Cold Pressed Grapeseed Oil (Sumerland, BC), Rosemary Oil, Certified Organic Cold Pressed Canola Oil (High River, AB), Vitamin E

Onto Make Room! Stretch Mark & Scar Balm:

Lowen's Natural Skincare Make Room

Make Room was specifically formulated for improving skin elasticity and tone for growing tummies but can also be used for softening superficial scars or even for those hulking out at the gym growing their pecs, delts and biceps. We have also heard customer reports that it also improves the appearance of cellulite…Bonus!

Lowen's Natural Skincare Make Room

This is a nice balm, I used it around my nose when I briefly misplaced (and then found) my Super Salve – and it also worked well to soothe my skin. I don’t have any stretch marks to test it on, but I can imagine that it would work well just based on the skin friendly ingredients.

Ingredients: Beeswax (Calgary, AB), Cetyl Alcohol, Certified Organic Fair Trade Coco Butter, Virgin Organic Coconut Oil (Philippines) , Cold Pressed Non-GMO Camelina Seed Oil (Saskatoon, SK), Rosemary Oil, Lecithin, Cold Pressed Non-GMO Canola Oil (High River , AB), Certified Organic Fair Trade Shea Butter (Ghana), Vitamin E (Natural Source)

And finally Vegan Vapor Rub:

Lowen's Natural Skincare Vegan Vapor Rub

Just like your favorite topical cough and cold body rubs but made better! Our Vegan Vapor Rub formula is 100% natural and preservative free.  Why does this matter?  Well there are many of us out there that would prefer not to use a petroleum based medicated rub.  Sure we grew up our parents slathering on Vicks Vaporub but knowing how simple that product was (and still is) we thought it would be better to come up with an effective product with a vegan ointment base.  It isn’t the easiest thing to do and isn’t the cheapest product to create but we wanted something we were 100% comfortable using in our home.

Lowen's Natural Skincare Vegan Vapor Rub

Perfect timing with this balm – I used it every night until my cold was gone. It really helped me breathe at night as I was so congested. And it doesn’t make my skin feel gross like the petroleum jelly based ones. I love the smell of this!

Ingredients: Certified Organic Cold Pressed Non-GMO Canola Oil (High River, AB), Fair Trade, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Certified Organic Candelilla Wax, Camphor, Menthol, Certified Organic Spearmint Leaf Oil, Vitamin E, Rosemary Oil, Limonene*, D-Limonene**. (*present at 0.0031% – naturally occurring component of camphor – listed to comply with EU labelling standards as an allergen, **0.0088% naturally occurring component of spearmint oil – listed to comply with EU labelling standards as an allergen)

Do you use these types of balms / salves?

Lowen’s Natural Skincare Reviews Part 2 – Shampoo is Betta + Rub It In Why Don’t Ya!

Lowen's Natural Skincare Shampoo is Betta and Rub It In Why Don't Ya!

Hello, hello!

Lowen's Natural Skincare

Today I’m continuing with my reviews of some of the products that came in my awesome PR package from Canadian company Lowen’s Natural Skincare (Part 1 and company info is here). Today’s reviews are of Shampoo is Betta (vegan hydrating shampoo) and Rub It In Why Don’t Ya! (face, hand & body lotion).  [info in italics taken from the Lowen’s Natural Skincare website]

Onto the shampoo:

Lowen's Natural Skincare Shampoo is Betta

Shampoo is Betta! Gentle Vegan Hydrating Shampoo is a natural, vegan sulfate-free coconut based cleanser that is extremely gently yet incredibly effective.  It will effectively clean your hair and replenish it with hydrating unrefined, cold pressed locally sourced hemp seed oil. For extra conditioning we’ve added provitamin B5 (AKA Panthenol) as well as oat oil, with the latter providing exceptional activity in preventing itchiness and dryness (dandruff).

This shampoo is incredibly thick and lathers well despite being a sulfate free formula. It cleans my colour-treated hair well, and doesn’t strip the colour as it is super gentle and non-drying.

Lowen's Natural Skincare Shampoo is Betta

Ingredients: Coco-Betaine (Coconut based cleanser) & Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (Coconut based cleanser), Aqua, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oleosomes, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (Coconut based cleanser), Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil, Panthenol, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil.

The shampoo also smells amazing without being over-scented – with rosemary and peppermint being the main scents that my nose can identify. It rinses out nicely and doesn’t leave a filmy residue, leaving my hair clean, soft and hydrated.

Onto Rub It In Why Don’t Ya! the face, hand and body lotion with the best name ever!

Lowen's Natural Skincare Rub It In Why Don't Ya!

I formulated Rub it in Why Don’t Ya (RIIWDY) formulated specifically for our daughter Lowen back when she was barely walking.  It is safe, effective and long lasting and particularly great for those with sensitive skin. Our natural is paraben free, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, contains no added fragrances and we only use minimal preservation.  Try it. We’re confident you’ll love it!

Another sensitive skin dream product! It really is long lasting – I’ve been using this more as a body lotion than as a face lotion after a bath or shower and it keeps my skin hydrated all day!

Lowen's Natural Skincare Rub It In Why Don't Ya!

Ingredients: Beeswax (Calgary, AB), Fair Trade Certified Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Distilled Water, Cetyl Alcohol,  Euxyl 9010 (preservative),  Rosemary Oil, Certified Organic Non-GMO Cold Pressed Canola Oil (High River, AB), Lecithin (Non-GMO source) , Cold Pressed Non-GMO Camelina Seed Oil (Saskatoon, SK), Polysorbate 80 (Vacuum Distilled – 1,4 dioxane free), Vegetable Glycerin, Vegetable Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, Xanthan Gum

This lotion has a minimal ingredient list with less than 20 easily identifiable ingredients and no added fragrance, so it smells like what it is made of – very mild.

Lowen's Natural Skincare Shampoo is Betta and Rub It In Why Don't Ya!

I love both the shampoo and the face, hand and body lotion!

Lowen’s Natural Skincare Reviews Part 1 -You Sure Clean Up Nice and Get Toned

Lowen's Natural Skincare You Sure Clean Up Nice & Get Toned Vegan Facial Toner

Hello, hello!

if you follow me on InstaGram, you will have seen my unboxing of the awesome box of goodies from Canadian brand Lowen’s Natural Skincare. When the owner reached out to me, of course I was interested in testing out some things – thank you! [info in italics taken from Lowen’s Natural Skincare website]

Lowen's Natural Skincare

A little background on the company:

Lowen’s Natural Skincare is a family-owned and operated skin care company based in Calgary, Alberta. Conceived by a veteran Pharmacist committed to using organic, fair-trade, and/or locally-sourced ingredients, Lowen’s creates unique skin care products that are safe, effective, long-lasting, and affordable.

Their products are made based on four main principals:

  1. Safe for us = safe for you: We ensure that our ingredients are thoroughly evaluated for safety, effectiveness, environmental impact, and animal welfare by the Environmental Working Group (EWG).
  2. Keeping it simple:  What this means is that any single ingredient can provide multiple benefits within a particular product.  This keeps our ingredients list to a minimum number of “simple” components.
  3. Do no harm: We do not test our products on animals nor do we purchase ingredients that have been tested on animals.
  4. Sensible sourcing: We source local, certified organic and/or fair trade ingredients whenever possible and continually review and refine our practices to adhere to the above. If we are unable to find an ingredient close to home, we expand our search to find unrefined, organic, fair-trade ingredients

So yeah, knowing how I feel about skincare and cosmetics, you can see why I was so excited about testing things out! Because there were so many things in the box, I’ve decided to break it up into several parts – today I’m reviewing the You Sure Clean Up Nice (Face & Body Cleanser) and the Get Toned Vegan Facial Toner).

Starting with You Sure Clean Up Nice (Face & Body Cleanser) – to be honest I cringed a little at the thought of using the same cleanser for both face and body. But after doing my usual patch test for sensitivity, I tested it out on both my face and body but I’m going to talk more about using it as a facial cleanser.

Lowen's Natural Skincare You Sure Clean Up Nice Face & Body Cleanser

You Sure Clean up Nice!  Facial Cleanser is simply luxurious and like no other cleanser you’ve tried. We have formulated You Sure Clean up Nice! for all skin types but extra care was taken to ensure that it will be gentle on the most sensitive of skin types. (like all of our products).

Lowen's Natural Skincare You Sure Clean Up Nice Face & Body Cleanser

This cleanser is a sensitive skin dream! It is super gentle, but cleans really well – removes makeup without leaving my skin feeling tight or dry and doesn’t leave a residue. Because it is formulated for sensitive skin, it has no added fragrance, so it smells like its ingredients (basically, it barely smells like anything)! This would be great to take for travelling since it can be used on face and body.

Now onto the toner – Get Toned:

Lowen's Natural Skincare Get Toned Vegan Facial Toner

Get Toned! is a very clean, safe and simple facial toner. Having only 8 ingredients, they have been carefully selected to get the job done! Formulated with the refreshing and calming effects of lavender floral water, combined with the moisturizing and conditioning powers of  glycerin and Hydresia®.  Get Toned follows our mission perfectly as it is truly safe, effective…better!

Lowen's Natural Skincare Get Toned Vegan Facial Toner

I love facial toner / facial mists. This one has minimal ingredients and it is so refreshing to use after I wash my face. It smells beautiful due to the lavender. Very gentle, and hydrating.

So there you have it, part one of my Lowen’s Natural Skincare reviews. More to follow this week! Have you tried anything from Lowen’s?

By Anhesa Cedar Face Cream Review

Hello, hello!

Today I have a review of the Cedar Face Cream from Toronto based By Anhesa that I won in an InstaGram giveaway from Whipped Green Girl and Anhesa.  [info in italics taken from the Anhesa website]

By Anhesa Cedar Face Cream

A gentle and mildly-fragranced moisturizer for luminous, supple, and soft skin. Cedar face cream made, especially for dry mature skin, has light broccoli, peach and luscious tucuma Amazonian oils. It nourishes and protects your skin, giving you a smooth, youthful glow. The addition of the scent of cedarwood essential oil leaves you feeling fresh and vibrant (as if you had taken a walk in the woods).

Ingredients: Aqua, Prunus persica (Peach) kernel oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Ceteraryl Alcohol, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Astrocaryum Tucuma seed butter, Glycerine, Brassica oleracea Italica (Broccoli) seed oil, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sorbic Acid, Juniperus mexicana (Cedarwood) wood oil

By Anhesa Cedar Face Cream

The Cedar Face Cream is super lightweight and absorbs into the skin quickly. It is highly moisturizing and non-greasy. The scent is woody and fresh, I absolutely love cedarwood essential oil, it smells amazing, without being over-scented.

This works well as either a day or a night cream and plays nicely with makeup. It really does help give the skin a nice glow. I love that it contains minimal ingredients. It is especially great for sensitive skin types!

Thanks for reading.

Disclosure: I won this in a giveaway, but the decision to review it is entirely my own and based on my experience of using the product.

Natura Siberica Saaremaa Moisturizing Hand Cream

Hello, hello!

Today I have a little review of one of the gifts that I was given while in Estonia – the Saaremaa Organic Wild Estonian Cloudberry and Siberian Ginseng Moisturizing Hand Cream from Natura Siberica. (Info in italics taken from the Natura Siberica website)

NaturaSiberica1

Moisturizing cream gently cares for the skin of your hands, protects it from dehydration, stimulates active skin regeneration, making it more smooth and elastic. Organic cloudberry is rich in complex of С, А, Е, В1, В2, РР vitamins, antioxidants and polyunsaturated fatty acids that give the skin extra nourishment and hydration, making it more soft and velvety. Siberian ginseng functions like active antioxidant, stimulates regeneration skin processes, prevents premature aging, and daily protects the skin of the hands from negative effects of the environment.

My hands have been really dry this summer. This is such a beautiful hand cream, it is highly moisturizing without being greasy. The scent is very mild and herbal – which I love because I cannot stand overly scented products! This hand cream is long lasting, my hands stay hydrated  and soft all day.

Natura Siberica has several eco certifications, is cruelty free and has some vegan products in their line.

Disclosure: This was a gift (from family).

Best of 2016 – Skin Care Edit

Hello, hello!

I’m back! I got hit with a horrible cold just before Christmas and I’m still not 100% healthy yet.

As the year draws to a close, I would like to take the time to thank each and every one of you for following, liking and commenting on my blog!

Here’s my “Best of 2016 – Skin Care” and links to the original reviews.

Best Cleanser:

I have a tie for best cleansers, both are from Mychelle Dermaceuticals – the Refining Sugar Cleanser and the Creamy Pumpkin Cleanser. I’ve been using both of these cleansers since the fall.

Best Scrub:

Sukin Revitalizing Facial Scrub

I’ve tried several different scrubs this year, but the Sukin Revitalizing Facial Scrub has to be my favourite.

Best Serum:

Consonant Skincare Antioxidant Superhero Serum

I actually have three serums that I use regularly, but the Consonant Antioxidant Superhero Serum is my favourite of the bunch. Runners up are the Mychelle Dermaceuticals Perfect C and Remarkable Retinal Serums.

Best Facial Oil:

Ingenium Naturals

Facial oils are a fairly new thing for me, it is an area of skincare that I want to explore further in the new year. I’ve been using the Tsubaki Oil from Ingenium Naturals daily. I add a few drops to my moisturizer every morning, and it has helped prevent my skin from the dreaded winter dryness.

Best Moisturizer:

I have two favourite moisturizers, one for day, and one for night. The first one is the Sensi-Cream from Ingenium Naturals. I use it in the mornings with a few drops of Tsubaki Oil mixed in. At night, I use the Pumkin Renew Cream from Mychelle Dermaceuticals.

Best Facial Mask:

Another tie. I absolutely love the Consonant Skincare DHE Mask, and the Sukin Purifying Facial Masque.

Best Eye Cream:

Sukin Antioxidant Eye Serum

Another one from Sukin, the Antioxidant Eye Serum. It hydrates without irritating my sensitive eyes.

Best Facial Mist / Floral Water / Toner:

Maison Jacynthe Eau Florale de Rose

A new product category for me. I fell in love with using facial mists / floral waters. Again, this is a product category that I want to try more of in the new year. I am so in love with the Eau Florale de Rose from Maison Jacynthe. The Hydrating Mist Toner from Sukin is also a personal fave.

There you have it, my Best of Skin Care for 2016! Thanks for reading and have a beautiful 2017! ❤❤❤

Still to come, Best of Body and Hair Care for 2016, and Best of Makeup for 2016!
