Province Apothecary Moisturizing Cleanser + Makeup Remover

Hello, hello!

Today I’m reviewing the Moisturizing Cleanser + Makeup Remover from Province Apothecary that came in my October Petit Vour box. I was originally planning on stashing it away, but curiosity got the better of me, haha! [info in italics taken from the Petit Vour website]

Province Apothecary Moisturizing Oil Cleanser Remover

The Moisturizing Cleanser + Makeup Remover with Avocado & Raspberry Oil is great for all skin types. These hydrating oils remove makeup & excess oil, restoring your skin’s natural radiance while gently cleansing without over-drying your skin or destroying its natural pH. Raspberry Oil stimulates cell turnover, rejuvenating skin. Bergamot Oil clears congestion. Frankincense tones the skin. Lavender heals blemishes and works as a restorative. This essential oil blend calms, reduces stress, and relaxes your parasympathetic nervous system. The cleanser helps your skin stay nourished, balanced, and healthy.

Oil based cleansers are so great, I especially like to use them when doing a double cleanse on days when I’m wearing makeup. This cleanser works well to remove stubborn waterproof mascara but is still super gentle on the skin and eyes. It is hydrating and effective. And the scent is pleasant, clean and mild (yay!)

Province Apothecary Full Brow Serum Review

Hello, hello!

Today I have a review of the Full Brow Serum from Province Apothecary. I received it in a Petit Vour box back in December 2017. It sat unopened in my stash for ages. Now that I’ve finally gotten around to using it, I figured that I would finally review. [info in italics taken from the Petit Vour website]

Province Apothecary Full Brow Serum 1

The Full Brow serum is specifically blended with powerful and active pure botanical extracts and anti-oxidants to help fortify hair and encourage fuller-looking brows. The nutritive blend of Organic Castor Seed Oil and Coffee Extract targets hair follicles, while Organic Rosemary Leaf has been used for centuries to improve hair luster and promote the appearance of richer brows. Use twice daily to achieve stronger, healthy looking eyebrows.

Province Apothecary Full Brow Serum

I’ve been using the Full Brow Serum for about 3 months, using it once a day instead of twice daily as I find that it doesn’t play nicely with my eyebrow pencil or brow gel. I manage to use it at least five nights a week, and sometimes every night of the week.

Consistency is key with a brow serum.

My brows are starting to come in a little thicker / fuller, but they are still much lighter in colour than my hair, so I still feel the need to use a brow pencil or gel to darken them up.

Province Apothecary Full Brow Serum

Ingredients 100% Cruelty-Free and Vegan | Castor Seed Oil*, Argan Kernel Oil*, Jojoba Seed Oil* [infused with Coffee*, Burdock Root*, Calendula flower*, Horsetail*], Broccoli Seed Oil, Black Cumin Seed Oil, Vitamin E, Rosemary Leaf Extract + Oil*, Lavender*, Geranium Oil*, Bay Oil.  | *Certified Organic Ingredients.

Have you used a brow serum?

I’m still managing to keep up with the Yoga With Adriene YWA True daily practices so far. Nearly at the half-way mark for the 30 days!

I bought myself a new pair of winter boots because my old pair was not warm and were heavy and so uncomfortable.

Columbia Minx Mid Boots

These are the Columbia Minx Mid boots, and they have are waterproof, breathable, and toasty warm (up to -25F / -32C). They are super lightweight and the soles feel bouncy!

Petit Vour Unboxing December 2017

Hello, hello!

Today I have my unboxing and first impressions for December’s Petit Vour box. It arrived last week and I’ve finally had a chance to photograph everything.

Petit Vour December 2017

The monthly Canadian subscription costs $23 USD – with the exchange rate that I paid in December, that works out to be $30 CAD. Let’s take a closer look at what was inside.

Petit Vour Dec3

Province Apothecary Full Brow Serum – I’ve never used a brow serum before, and have skimpy brows, so I’ll definitely be trying this one out! It is also the first product that I will have tried from Province Apothecary. This will probably be several months worth of brow serum since you only use 1 to 2 drops per use. Review to follow once I’ve tested it out for a few weeks.

Petit Vour December 2017

Odacité Synergie [4] Immediate Skin Perfecting Beauty Masque – This facial mask powder sounds interesting as it is a multi-tasker – detox, peel, brighten and firm. I’m going to do a patch test before using it on my face. I do love facial masks, so I’m happy with this one. Review to follow.

Petit Vour December 2017

Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Ultra-Natural Mascara – I haven’t tried a natural mascara before, but I’m looking forward to trying it out. Hopefully the claims of no smudging, flaking or clumping hold true. I’m also hoping that it will hold a curl. Review to follow!

Petit Vour December 2017

True Moringa Lip Whip in Truth – I love lip balms, so I’m always happy to get one. Another new to me brand. Review upcoming!

Petit Vour December 2017

Ursa Major Golden Hour Recovery Cream – I love skincare products, and after the deep freeze that we’ve been going through, I could use all the hydration! Another brand that I’ve wanted to try for quite awhile! Review to follow once I’ve tested it out!

Total value of this month’s box is $54 USD – which at the exchange rate that I paid works out to be $70.43 CAD! I love that all of the products in the Petit Vour box are cruelty free AND they are also all vegan.

Disclosure: I pay for this monthly subscription. And my opinion is very much always my own!
