Gachala Skincare Luna Night Cream

Hello, hello – welcome to / welcome back to A Brash Attitude!

Gachala Skincare Luna Night Cream

Today I have a review of the Luna Night Cream from Gachala Skincare – a Canadian brand that has been on my wishlist for awhile now, so you can imagine how thrilled I was when the lovely owner Karen, reached out and asked me if I wanted to try their award winning anti-aging night cream. [info in italics taken from the Gachala Skincare website]

Gachala Skincare Luna Night Cream

Let’s take a look at the Luna Night Cream:

This rich nighttime cream contains the most potent, purest anti-ageing ingredients from the depth of the Amazonian Rainforests!. Its intelligent formula contains natural complex molecules that will deliver its active ingredients to the deeper layers within the skin cells. As a result, your skin will be tone, hydrated with an even texture. Its non-greasy nourishing formula will bring your skin luminosity and natural radiance.

When you sleep, and your skin is in a regeneration mode, using AMAZONIAN GODDESS Luna Night Cream will accelerate your skin tissue repair as well as promoting cell renewal, which plays a vital role in the health and quality of your skin.

This green cream is rich without being heavy or greasy, and is especially perfect for when you want to wake up with hydrated, glowing skin! The scent is a green smelling of a blend of essential oils of ylang ylang, frangipani and lavender which I quite like.

Ingredients: *organic carrier oils of sacha inchi (plukenetia volubilis), coconut (coco nucifera),* organic butters of illipe (madhuca longifolia), *acai (euterpe oleracea), cupacu (theobroma grandiflorum), phyo-lumina liposome complex, phyto-bioactive skin toning blend, berry wax (rhus verniciflua), * organic sunflower wax (helianthus annuus), *organic fresh plant chlorophyll, phyto-preserve polyphenols complex, phyto-bioactive essential oils blend containing ylang ylang (cananga odorata), frangipani (plumeria acutifolia) & lavender (lavandula officinalis)

Do a patch test if there are ingredients that are new to you, or ingredients that you are sensitive to. I don’t put anything on my face without doing a patch test first!

Gachala products are crafted in Canada from organically grown, sustainably harvested ingredients from the Amazonian Rainforest. They’re also cruelty free and vegan friendly!

Have you tried anything from this brand? They have both facial skincare and bodycare lines – I definitely want to explore more from this brand!

Ren Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask Review

Hello, hello!

Sorry for the lateness of today’s blog post, my poor laptop is having some problems, eep!

Onto the review!

Ren Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask

I’ve tried the Ren Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask long before I started blogging, and when I got it in my December Ipsy Glam bag, I felt that I should finally review it. The description in italics is taken from the Sephora website:

What it is:
An instant complexion-perfecting mask that brightens and renews skintone and texture, minimizes pores, diminishes hyperpigmentation, and reduces the appearance of fine lines in as little as 10 minutes.

What it is formulated to do:
A cocktail of four acids including glycolic acid from pinneapple, lactic acid from passion fruit, citric acid from lemon, and tartaric acid from grape create multiaction exfoliation. It lifts dead skin and resurfaces to dramatically improve skintone, texture, firmness, and radiance, while minimizing the appearance of pores and reducing sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and old acne scars.

This is one of the few acid peel type masks that my sensitive skin can handle – which funny because it says that it is not recommended for people with sensitive skin! As always, if you have sensitive skin, don’t forget to do a patch test on your arm or neck before trying it on your face.

Ren Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask

My skin is always so fresh and bright looking after using it. At $68 (Canadian) for the full size, it is on the expensive side, but a little goes a long way. I’ve gotten several uses (at least three so far) from my deluxe sample sized tube, and I’d guess that I’m not even half way through it.

Have you tried this? Do you have a fave acid type peel / mask?

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤

Sukin Rose Hip Hydrating Day Cream Review

Sukin Rose Hip Hydrating Day Cream

Hello, hello!

Sukin Rose Hip Hydrating Day Cream

Today I’m sharing my review of the Rose Hip Hydrating Day Cream from Sukin. Here’s what it says on the website:

An antioxidant rich blend of rose hip, pomegranate and kakadu plum to deeply moisturise for a radiant complexion. This intensive moisturiser combines rose hip oil and pomegranate to help combat dry skin and prevent the signs of premature ageing. Kakadu plum, naturally rich in Vitamin C, will leave skin looking radiant and a generous blend of active botanicals will leave skin smooth and hydrated.

And here’s the ingredient list:

Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil (Rose Hip), Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Punica Granatum Seed Extract (Pomegranate), Terminalia Ferdinandiana Fruit Extract (Kakadu Plum), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Peel Oil, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Vanillin, Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract,  Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Linalool*, Limonene*. *Natural Component of fragrance

My Experience:

This day cream is luxurious and highly moisturizing! My skin feels smooth, hydrated and looks radiant. As well, the product has a lovely, mild scent – due to the inclusion of essential oils (tangerine, mandarine orange, lavender, and vanilla). I love how my skin is looking and feeling since I’ve started using a few things from the Sukin line. I think that this cream might be a little too rich for oily skin, but it works great for my sensitive, combination (normal to dry) skin.

In case you missed it, I’ve already reviewed the Foaming Facial Cleanser (here), the Hydrating Mist Toner (here), and the Purifying Facial Masque (here).

I’d also like to try the Rose Hip Oil, a Serum (there are several, I haven’t decided which one yet), the Eye Serum, the Night Cream,  a Facial Scrub (there are several, haven’t decided which) and finally, the Micellar Cleansing Water.

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤
