Hello, hello – welcome to / welcome back to A Brash Attitude!
Today I have a review of the Öko Creations Makeup Removal Pads. I purchsed these a few weeks ago to try, as I wanted a more environmentally friendly and sustainable replacement for disposable cotton rounds. Öko Creations is a Quebec based brand [info in italics is taken from the Öko Creations website]

How amazing does this company sound?
Let’s take a look at the Makeup Removal Pads:
Made of natural hemp fleece, these reusable makeup removal pads are gentle on the skin and eliminate the need for disposable pads. Unlike the disposable ones, they will not tear between your fingers when wet. They are also, of course, an economical and environmental choice! An easy zero waste step! Effective for removing all types of makeup, lipstick and mascara, they can also be used for minor wound care, face washing, as ultra-light breast pads or other delicate tasks!
- Format: 8-pack
- Colour: natural, undyed with variable coloured trim.
- Composition: 55% hemp, 45% organic cotton
- Label: FSC paper, no plastic!
These makeup removal pads are so velvety soft – and work amazingly well for removing mascara / eye makeup, and are perfect for applying facial toner.
So far I have not had any issues with staining, but I rinse them with soap and water right after using as suggested on the packaging. I keep the clean rounds in a repurposed glass jar to prevent them from getting dirty or lost when not in use.
The construction is sturdy, comprised of a double layer of the brushed hemp – cotton blend fleece, with brightly coloured stitching around the edges. I can see these lasting quite some time before needing to replace them!
Do you use reusable / washable makeup remover pads?
Thanks for reading

Disclosure: In case you missed it at the beginning, I purchased this!
