Fall Shadow Edit – Shop My Stash

Fall Shadow Edit

Hello, hello!

I was digging through my eyeshadow stash looking for a green shadow the other day, when the inspiration struck me to set aside a few for fall. With the temperatures (very slowly) starting to cool off, I’m more inclined to go for richer, deeper, smokier shades.

Here are a few of my picks:

Fall Shadow Edit

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette – I’m still in love with this palette, I use it year round, but seem to go for the darker shades in the fall / winter. Original review and swatches are here.

Fall Shadow Edit

Urban Decay single shadows in Mildew, Cobra, and Loaded. I’ve had these for a long time but you can still buy Mildew and Loaded. Sadly Cobra seems to have been discontinued.

Nyx Prismatic Shadow in Jaded. I got this in an Ipsy GlamBag and it has been lost in my eyeshadow stash for ages, and I forgot that I had it!

What are your shadow picks for fall?

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day!

Disclosure: I won the palette in a giveaway in 2016, and the rest were purchased by me.

June 2016 Favourites

Hello, hello!

Today I’d like to show you my favourites for the month of June.

Makeup:

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette + – Most days this month I’ve used this palette. I absolutely love it. Original review is here.

Black Moon Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Wrath – I’ve worn this lipstick so much this month. Original review is here.

Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector – I’ve been using this one every single day since I bought it in mid may. It has really helped with my dark circles from insomnia and puffiness from allergies. Original review is here.

Essence Silky Touch Blush in Babydoll – I’ve been wearing this one a lot these days. Perfect for a summer flush. Original review is here.

Skincare:

Saje Sensitive Elixir (Calming Skin Serum) – My nighttime skin serum. Original review is here.

Nuworld Botanicals Sun Kissed Skin Facial Oil * – My morning skin holy grail. Original review is here.

Bath / Body / Wellness:

I really LOVED everything that I tried from Nuworld Botanicals and have been using them daily. *

Stress Relief Multi-Mineral Bath Soak and  Signature Roll-On* . I’ve used the bath salts up (they are in my June Empties post), and I usually have the Roll-On in my bag or next to my bed so I can use it any time. Original reviews are here.

Anxiety Relief Whipped Borage Oil Hand & Foot Butter, the Multi-Nutritive 3-in-1 Oil and the Signature Roll-On *. The Hand & Body Butter is AMAZING, I use it every night (and usually every morning). I’ve been using the 3-in-1 Oil both in the bath and a few drops on the ends of my hair, it is so moisturizing, and the scent is soothing. The Roll-On is usually in my bag in the day time, or next to my bed at night. Original review is here.

Nuworld Botanicals - Energy Boost

Last, but definitely not least, is the Energy Boost Multi-Nutritive 3-in-1 Oil and the Signature Roll-On*. I am so in love with this scent, it is such a great mood booster. I love to use a few drops of the oil in the bath, or in my hair. And the Roll-On is great for on the go pick-me-ups.

I had quite a few faves this month. What about you, what were your favourites this month?

Thanks for reading and have a beautiful day! ❤

Disclosure: Items marked with an asterix * are PR samples for testing and review purposes. Items marked with a plus + were either gifts or personal blog giveaway loot. Everything else was purchased by me.

Weekend Away Makeup Bag

Hello, hello!

I just thought that I would show you what I’ll be bringing with me makeup-wise for my little weekend away in Toronto for the Ipsy Generation Beauty show. I’m trying to travel as light as possible by bringing only a backpack (with a foldable bag inside in case of shopping, of course).

I chose one of my makeup bags with the hope that I would be able to fit everything into it. And my brush roll case for my makeup brushes. I picked the makeup that I wanted to bring, photographed it, and then attempted to fit it all into my makeup bag at the very end.

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Swatching and Review

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette

Hello hello! I am finally getting to swatching and reviewing of the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette that I won from the lovely Reify’s Sweet Treat Giveaway. You should check out her blog and give her a follow if you don’t already!

This is my very first palette from Zoeva, so I was super thrilled to get this in the mail since I’ve been drooling over the palettes and brushes for awhile now!

First off, look at the packaging – STUNNING!

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette

Here’s what it says on the Zoeva website:

Our ZOEVA Cocoa Blend Palette results out of a world of sweet sins. Inspired by warm truffle colors, delicate nougat shades and shimmery marzipan tones for a seductive glamour makeup.

Formula: No parabens // No mineral oils // No fragrances // No phthalates // Superior pigmentation // Easy to blend // With vitamin E // Made in Italy

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette

This palette has ten different shadows in various finishes (matte, satin, metallic, duochrome, pearl and matte with glitter.

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette

Let’s take a look at each one, starting with the top row – swatched without primer:

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette

Bitter Start – matte cream

Sweeter End – metallic, light taupe with peachy golden shift

Warm Notes -metallic, cranberry with rose gold shift

Subtle Blend – metallic, light bronze toned brown

Beans are White – matte, dark brown almost black (like espresso)

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette

Pure Ganache – metallic, gold

Substitute for Love – matte / satin, warm caramel toned brown

Freshly Toasted – matte reddish brown

Infusion – matte with glitter, dark brown with golden glitter

Delicate Acidity – metallic / duochrome, purple based taupe

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette

My experience: This warm toned palette has a great balance between matte and shimmery / metallic shades. All are highly pigmented and gorgeous. I found all of the shades to be buttery and smooth in application except for Beans are White, which was a little grabby, and Infusion, which was drier and was prone to fallout due to the glitter. Very wearable for both subtle and dramatic looks.

Also, they are cruelty-free, and free from parabens / mineral oils / fragrance / phthlates. So yeah, I might be a little bit in love and cannot wait to try more from Zoeva.

A little bit about Zoeva, taken from the website:
